This year has not been the best year for MAC in my opinion. Storyline wise. I mean the color stories have been so blah this year

Madam B was one of my most favorite collections ever. On the good side for you, you probably saved lots of money!!

i loooved madame b and belle azure! the only one that didn't do much for me is d'bohemia and naturallu eccentric... i picked up a few things but not much.. i am hoping that ornamentalism & the holiday stuff will make up for it, and bring me holiday joy!!! =)

Loved Belle Azure...maybe it's just you? Lol but seriously, save up the $$$ for the collections you really like! If you look at how much you'll save, every "bad" collection is a good thing!

I'm kinda the opposite I guess! I really liked the color stories this year, and I'm really glad that they came out with new products (the pearlizers, glitz glosses, lip gelees, etc) to keep things exciting! I just <3 MAC in general though haha... Madame B was definetly one of my fave collections of all time

I agree with SugarAsh..There were some serious colors this year!! Finally oranges and lucky green holy cow. I also love my tailormade stuff, and madame b. was to die for...Theres not much I didnt like. But, it all depends on the colors you like...
I think the pearlizers, lipgelees tlcs, and skinfinishes were amazing, and the glitzglosses were just so so imo. I just love it cause they released new stuff, not just new colors, which I like as well, but getting choices on lip products or facial products is nice. As well as the microfine refinisher...
Im hoping that next years collections will turn me off big time :\
Imho I find people that are into more neutral looks wouldnt go for belle azure or madame b., or rebelrock..
My sister abhors some of the colors I own...she cant believe someone would actually wear sushi flower, or lucky green :p

My favourites this year have been madame b definitely, (which I mostly missed at the time and hunted down on e-bay afterwards) and d'bohemia. Although d'bohemia was pretty neutral and I usually go for brights, I LOVE prose & fancy and deckchair, and flash of flesh is the only l/g I've bought this year. Wanted a lovely shimmery natural colour, and it's perfect for that.

I am trying to stop getting so hyped over every collection anyway, because it's unrealistic both financially and in terms of how much of the stuff I'll use. So, all I'm looking forward to, is two of the glitter liners and two pearlizers from ornamentalism. Oh, and the holiday pigments set.

Besides, they'll probably release a bazillion new products in new collections every month next year. *Sighs.*

I haven't been wowed by any of the colour stories as a whole, though I liked a lot from Naturally Eccentric, but I think in general the year has been okay.

I'm more excited about the permanent things they are bringing out. Finally more veluxe pearls!! The cremestick liners have a lot of potential too, and the Moistureblend line has been doing well it seems.

Collections are gimmicky, and the more they come out with the more gimmicky they will seem. I enjoy the promo pics for arts sake, but beyond that I just pick and choose 1 or 2 items from each collection and I'm happy not to have my wallet suffer from everything be amazing and suited to me. Thats only happened with a collection once, and I ended up being so broke that I got nothing from it anyway!

ditto! Fluidlines and Microfine Refinisher too! I haven't liked all the color stories, but it seems like they're trying to appeal to different tastes.

The absolute best thing to come out of MAC this year is lucky green!! This is the best color to come around since parrot. I really liked Blow as well.
I bought a few things from each collection this year, but not as much as usual. There were just too many collections to keep up with. I miss back when there were 4 collections a year, and I could buy all of them. I just can't afford everything when there is at least one per month released.
