My Day @MAC - 3/13/08

So I went in to see the Blushes today and wow they are so gorgeous. Too bad half of them were very subtle or no color payoff on my NC35 skin. But nonetheless, I did buy Sweetness, EverSun and Serenely. I had my eye on Joyous but it was very light on me and too much like Hipness so I bought Serenely which is a lot hotter and more deeper coral IMO. Eversun is beautiful as a contour blush and just a nice sun hit the face kinda look. And sweetness of course is just sweet. lol Its a lot brighter than Fashion Frenzy but me like.

And guess who was there helping me out? My good ol friend Margarita! The chic who did my Fafi makeover.

And guess what she told me!?!?

That Heatherette is releasing soon on the 20th instead of the 27th because people want it so bad. And she told me that she will be working that morning and she will give me a Heatherette makeover!!!! Thank God my spring break is next week and I am getting paid on the 20th!!!

Andddddddddddddd, she gave me a sneak peak on ALL of the Heatherette products and my jaw just dropped looking at it. I couldn't take pics though so that was a bummer but I did swatches on my hand. I am totally buying products that I wanted and didn't want at first.

The trios are gorgeous, especially the one with the teal color. I am glad I didn't buy Fafi Quad 1 because the pink trio in Heatherette reminds me of it. All the lippies are to die for. The lashes are HOT! The lipglasses are pretty and especially sock hop? The coral looking one. Sorry I don't have all the names down to the T yet. The nail polishes are okay IMO, I am sure there are dupes of these somewhere. The eye liners are super gorgeous!!! All of them. I am dying to get the teal one, its that beautiful that I am almost snatched it out of Magarita's hand.

The pics and swatches of Heatherette do no justice AT ALL. Go and see it for yourself ladies and gents. You will be pleased.

Anyway that was my fun filled day! I will post my Heatherette makeover next week in the Fotds section. Have fun on Spring Break ya'll! wooooooooo hooooooooooooooooo

I'm so jealous. #1 No Spring break of any kind for me. That time has passed for me. #2 I have yet to find out if my store will debut Heatherette on the 20th or not #3 I don't get paid until the end of the month (I might have to dust off one of my "rainy day" credit cards and make something happen)

Do you think that lilac colored lipstick will look good on a brown girl?

lol I know not everyone here is in college or has SB but you know, Spring is here so enjoy it!
Well Magarita said that MOST of them are releasing it early on the 20th and they already have their shipment as well as testers.
I saw the lilac colored lippie and to tbh, I didn't like it for myself. It was too light and too purple. It would look pretty on fairer skin. But then again, you can top it off with a lipglass to tone it down a tad. The pink one is uber hot though.

I've heard the Jan 20th Heatherette launch date rumor too...

I have heard it from MAC and the counter, that it is planned for all MAC venues to release on the 20th (less the MAC site which will go on the 18th). I'm sure a few counters won't make that date, but that's kind of the norm when they jockey around launch dates.

There are some fun things planned for the Heatherette events, though. You guys will enjoy this collection.

What are they doing for the event besides makeovers @ the counter?

Thank God! I will be in Vegas from Sunday-Tuesday so I will get to pick up my Heatherette at the PRO store! Woo-hoo!
