So here goes! My first face of the day. I can never get good pics despite having a Sony Cyber shot 5.1...any photography buffs want to give me some pointers

i have a sony cybershot too! use the macro mode, it's the little flower. or in menu use the magnifying mode. that's what i use and it picks up color really well.
