Hey everyone! Im about to put together my first 15 palette on maccosmetics.com and I need some help!

THIS is how i look: https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/215105_10150317269271928_550076927_9710970_3418557_n.jpg
My eyes are a brown-ish green color.

Im looking for some neutral colors for everyday wear, but i also really want some colors that i can expiriment and match together for fun!

So far i have:

Shroom
Naked lunch
Expensive pink
Bronze
Espresso
Soft brown
Swimming
Humid
Satin taupe
Cranberry
Star violet
Sable
Carbon
Antiqued
Steamy

Should i pick cranberry or SV? Is steamy gonna be good with the other colors i have? Am i missing something important?
Im gonna buy the gold pignment so i dont really need gold..

God, this is hard! :D

What a pretty face you have! I would choose star violet but it depends... if you prefer more discreet shades choose SV, if brighter ones, then Cranberry. I think both of them will look great with your eyes, and Shale would also accentuate the green.

Hope I was of some help

I want to have colors to make this look:

It says:
MAC eyeshadows used:

  • Shale (on lid, below crease)
  • Botanical LE (crease) – you could also use ‘Mulch’ here
  • Embark (deepen crease)
  • Vanilla (blend and highlight)

But botanical is not aveilable?

Now my palette looks like this:

Vanilla
Naked lunch
Soft brown
Satin taupe
Espresso
Expensive pink
Star violet (???)
Shale
Lucky green
Humid
Antiqued
Amber lights

(I think im gonna leave carbon for now, already have a black bareminerals eyeshadow)

THOUGHTS?

Did you read the description of the shades for that look? It said you could use Mulch instead of Botanical (the latter was LE). Mulch is permanent. I think you've chosen some pretty good colours.

I would add some grey, silver shades (electra, silver knight, scene, print...), in my opinion are also basic shadows to have. If you already have a black e/s, could try Typographic, wich I personally prefer over Carbon. And definitely star violet and shale

if you have pink undertone, go for VANILLA.
SHROOM is something really neutral, its not even 10% like a beige color.

if you are a NW, CASINO is better than amber lights because AL is too orange for nw, CASINO has a pink undertone in it. i have both colors and i think they are 99% the same :)

I just went through this myself :) I had a neutral quad i built, but now its grown to a full 15 palette

Matt-ish row orb bamboo cork brown script concrete
shimmer row dazzlelight naked lunch all that glitters sable satin taupe
Smokey row gesso forgery electra print carbon

The only sucky one is forgery - I know I should have listened, it's fall out city, but I really wanted a light silver, something to use on my brow bone and inner corner that has cool grey tones.
I'm thinking crystal instead (eventually)

I filled my quad with fun colours - aquadisc, deep truth and nocturnelle - so one slot free! maybe stars and rockets? any thoughts?

I love stars and rockets! I am pretty new to MAC, but Stars and Rockets was the first shadow I bought for my palette, I think it is so gorgeous and really unique, definitely a fun color.
