Well a Saturday that should be filled with other things turned into a chance for me to play in make up!!! I decided to try a cut crease for the first time, and I think it came out pretty good. Ha ha, if you ignore the fact that I couldn't get my eyes to look the same that is. O well, something to work on for next time! I ended up using a lot of products since I didn't have any idea where this look would end up, o but a lot of fun was had in the experience. I don't think I would actually wear this look out, maybe to the club... maybe... but I would surely perform in it!!! lol.

Products I used (all MAC unless noted):

Face:
studio finish concealer NC45
Select spf NC50
Studio Fix powder NW45
Sculpt and shape duo
MSF duo (shimmer side)
Spiced Chocolate e/s
Sweet as cocoa blush
X-rocks blush
Sweet Chestnut e/s

Eyes:
Raven power kohl
CoC Spiced Chocolate quad: sweet chestnut, brash, spiced chocolate
carbon e/s
vanilla pigment
blacktrack fluidline
Red Cherry lashes #503

Lips (first look):
cork lip pencil
creme cerise l/s
electric coral pigment
beaux l/g

Lips (second look):
cork lip pencil
Sephora l/s #55
Jampacked l/g

First look: I didn't like the lips so I didn't take too many pics.

It did look better after it wore off a bit, lol.

Second look: Still didn't love these lips, so I'll play around for next time

Let me know what you guys think! And any suggestions on a lip? I personally would go for something for neutral, but I was thinking of maybe using something darker to follow the fall trends.

this is very good! i think the lips look good but for me i probably do a nude l/g like chai or l/s fresh brew (these are my favorites so i guess this doesn't count lol).
by the way my saturday did not go the way i intended either-i gotta damn 15-page paper due and i am just starting (and just procrastinating) funny how those two go hand-in-hand!
again nice job on the make-up.

I love it. I think you did a great job. I also liked how you contoured your cheeks.

This is very good! Wow! I wish my crease wasn't so heavy so I could try this on me.

Very nice indeed.

Thanks for the great comments everyone! You guys are always so supportive on here. It's given me the courage to try new things!

Seeing as this was my first attempt, I don't really have secrets. I'm going to play around w/ it more so I can master my technique ;-).

But for now, I used a pencil to draw my line and then blended up from the line. After that I used a really small angle brush (the Italian badger stiff brow brush from crown brushes) to placed the shadows on that line and blended that up slightly. I also used a 231 and a q tip to held blend up as I got farther away from the line.

But really, it just took a lot of patience! There were a few wipe offs and starting over.
