the model for these was my favorite. he just did these amazing, really fun to draw poses. and he was really friendly. AND he kept us posted on how much time was left, which was so helpful.

I loved this pose big-big. it was so much fun to draw.

looking at some of them uploaded... I'm going to do some touch-ups before turning them into the teacher. I messed up on the planes on the shoulder of that second drawing, and I could do more finishing on the planes for the first. aand... the contouring on the second drawing could be a lot more convincing. but there it is!

This was my first life-drawing class ever. but it was a lot of fun. The thing I really like about it is that there are people in there who have never taken an art class before and then there are people who are taking life-drawing for the 4th time. but everyone can take something away from it, and everyone shows a lot of improvement. we're only half way through right now. My last two drawings, the lighted figure, were 30 minute poses. at the beginning of class I wouldn't get anywhere near even close to that on a 30 minute pose.

I'm in life-drawing 101, but it's combined with the life-drawing 102 so we have the varying experience levels. I would say it's more of a figure drawing class, because there is no focus on facial structure. there's a head drawing class offered. I think that would be more like portrait drawing..

the only thing i was ever actually good at drawing was abstract designs (which...probably had no real, artistic merit. i think my ar teacher was just a sweetheart haha!) and those flames they paint on cars

Nice!

I wish my damn Life Drawing teacher actually TAUGHT us something...instead he expected that since Picasso was perfect at 16, that we all should be at his level at 20.

that's a bummer! I was kind of skeptical at first, with this class because it seems like it would be hard to help everyone. but I've learned a lot from it and improved a lot. he does demos for each new thing we go over and then walks around the room commenting and giving tips.
