My Man's Eyebrows

my boyfriends eyebrows are about 2 inches long and kinda of light and sparse. I've been wanting to fill them in for awhile so I decided to do it today with an eyebrow pencil (Rimmel)

it looked good. They were darker but not real dark...they looked like how eyebrows should look. He liked it a lot and wants to buy his own brow pencil and have me teach him how to do it  But I have 2 questions:

1) I used a dark brown pencil on him. He said to use black next time. Should I go that dark? He's a black man, but his skin is like medium brown (maybe a few shades darker than that) I'm afraid that if I used black that it may be too harsh..even if his brow color is black. My eyebrow hairs are very black, but I don't use a black pencil on them...

2) His brows need to be arched. Like I don't want him to have very high arches or perfect brows, but they are so straight and boring right now...they look like little fuzzy caterpillars. But I don't want to over-arch them. I have these little LaCross razor shapers for eyebrows that I could use on him, or should I just tweeze?

Heres a picture to maybe help show his eyebrows (its not very good because of the flash though. And excuse our faces lol...we always make dumb faces in pictures)

thanks for all of your help guys!

i would not let him use black - he may think it'll look good, but it looks to me like it'll just look like he has obviously drawn-on brows instead of looking natural. let him try it with whatever black eyeliner you have first if he insists...i really think he'd look better with whatever dark brown you used on him this time tho

i'm clueless about arches, but it looks like he has a bit of an arch in that pic there, so i'd try to follow that line.

Definitely don't let him use black, explain that he's going to look like a cartoon figure if he uses black, he has to use the darkest shade of brown. Keep the arch, but don't overdo it.

thanks guys. haha its so much fun doing it. He liked it so much when they were filled it so I'm going to tweeze them a little tomorrow and pencil them in again.
