My Nana passed away last night :(

We lost Nana last night. She fought such a hard fight, but her body just couldn't do it anymore. She ended up in the hospital again on Friday night, and we got a call around 9:30 last night that she passed. She developed pneumonia on top of an already weak immune system. Nana's wish was to be creamated, so we will be going home to Pennsylvania in a few weeks for a memorial service and burial with my grandfather, Nana's parents, and my brother. I am going to miss her so much. I wasn't ready to let go yet...

I reciently Lost my nana too...

( 2 months ago. Its very hard. My prayers go out to you and your family, I tend to Imagine my nana in heaven looking her best, how I remember her being when I was a little girl. Fit and young. energetic.. And in no more pain of being in the hospital (which she despised) .. Im sorry for you loss. Its hard at first , things get easier

My thoughts are with you. I lost my Grandma Helen (my Mom's mother...she was the only one I was close to...I didn't really feel anything when I lost my paternal GM, as she wasn't very...nice...to me) when I was 12...and it nearly killed me. It gets better with time, but virtually nothing stops that ache in your chest for a while. Eventually, the ache gets lesser and lesser, and you'll be able to think of the happy times and good memories without hurting so much.

She looks like such a firecracker!!!! She was a beautiful woman, no doubt.
