wow great job on the e/s application! I wish I had a casual job or still attending school, and play around with color.

I have the same problem with newly minted, and I was starting to think it was just me. No matter how much you pack on, it turns all weird and translucent, right? And it rubs right off in the crease no matter what you use for a base? None of the other colors are like this, so far.

Zerin - You look great! I don't see anything wrong in the pics, but I have more trouble with matte shadows, too. (Not MAC but others.) I've found that dabbing some AND swiping some seems to help a bit. I don't swipe my normal shadows because it tends to give less color payoff and wipes the sparklies away. However, I think it tends to give a smoother application with matte shadows. Maybe. LOL.

i had the same problem with newly minted when i first tried it on. i used udpp as usual but it was showing major creaseline by the end of the day. what i suggest you try is a shadestick or one of the paintpots. when i tried it with the shadestick, it made the color stay on much better than just udpp alone. it just needs to have a good thick consistency base to adhere to thats all. but otherwise, it looks really good and you did a great job.

Beautiful pics!!

You have to use a base with the new matte2 eyeshadows. Something like Bare Canvas or Painterly.

what a lovely color combo. i was a little confused by the matte2 shadows at first too. i eventually got the hang of it. i use concealer and powder to set as base and wait for it to dry completely than i pat the eyeshadow on layer after layer, blend in other colors and re-pack the shadow on and blend only the outer edges. it's a lot of packing on but the color payoff is amazing!
