my not so good FOTD

okay i must have been having a bad day as far as my makeup was concerned because i didnt have my usual time to do it in. i tried out the newly minted Matte2 shade today and i dont know if i was using the wrong base or not enough on my brush, but it just didnt look that great on me IMO. maybe i shouldnt use it with UDPP but try it with a paint pot or shadestick.



all MAC unless otherwise stated

newly minted e/s
bobbi brown forest metallics trio palette (just forest in middle of lid and balsam in outer v)

i tried it again with the lucky jade s/s and the dark green bobbi brown shadow on the outer v, just eyes nothing else. i am keeping the poopoo pictures up for comparison

Hmm..yeah, maybe just try with a paint pot, or a creamier base. The colors are really pretty though & I love your lashes!!!

I agree with MACATTACK, a paint pot would be a good base or even a regular paint. I tend to love shadesticks as a base, but that's just me.
Otherwise, your lashes look gorgeous and so thick!

It looks like the newly minted matte MAC e/s has a good pigment payoff. Thanks for posting this. I have been wanting to see it. I adore the Forest color in the BB trio. I wish BB would make that color into a single.

I use Painterly in the MAC paint pots a lot.

I've used a paintpot once, and it was odd... I guess I need more practice with it; I'm so used to UDPP!!

thanks! what i have done with paintpots is actually i have used first the udpp and then lightly applied the PP with a small paint brush i purchased from Michael's. but i have a 239 brush now that i am gonna use my PP with.

Second look is really pretty. I read that the Matte 2 shadows that you need a really good base as a paint pot. I can't wait to get Newly Minted. It looks so pretty.
