My Special FOTD Dedicated to the Wonderful Members of MUA&Specktra-This One's For YOU

Okay, you guys, I did this just for you and for MUA. After many requests to do a natural neutral FOTD, I have given up my title as Colorqueen to do this FOTD especially FOR YOU! (after which time I will resume my title as Colorqueen once again- grin)

I took DD out to a little grill and the waitress comes over and says, "The guy in the back wants to know who the hottie is in the hair" HAHAHHA

Of course, being a rather untactful sort, she shouts out, hey, I'm gonna get me a wig like that some day.

HAHAHHA

Oh, and your wig is how my hair looks, when I keep it up. I haven't shot the black through it in awhile now, but when I do, that's how it turns out.

As much as I love color- I am enjoying the change. Of course, the red in my hair is compensation.....

I think that all the makeup that you do is stunning. But I dont know if its just the makeup or the hair or both but you look so beautifull this way It does honestly make you look a bit younger for some reason, but I think your a beautifull woman weither you wear brights or neutrals.

HAHAHA

You are so cute!

I appreciate your honesty- that is really wonderful that you feel you can be honest like that. It is so much better than saying it behind someone's back , you know?

Anyway, I must confess, I have had several other things affecting my face that are contributing to this look. First of all, I have been doing facercise for a few weeks now, and using Absolue again, which I stopped using for a few months to help save some money.

I also have radically changed my diet over the last two months or so, and cut the alcohol WAY down, which is a huge factor in making you look old (having Alcohol, not cutting it out- HAHA)

So, I do not disagree that I look younger with neutrals than without, but in all fairness, I just had to let you in on the other stuff too. Also this haircolor is really good with my complexion too as is the style- it is unusually nice.

Still, all in all, I will still do color now and then- I usually do not wear makeup much during the week- in fact, you guys only see the FOTD that I do on the one or two days I wear makeup.

I get tired of looking neutral or plain all of the time, so I use color now and then to liven things up.

However, I will probably do more neutral or pastel looks for summer anyway, since it is such a SHORT season- I want to enjoy it as much as possible and wearing alot of makeup is a pain when it is hot out. Besides, summertime brings watery eyes which is another pain to have to work around.

Now that liquidlast is on the market- I can actually WEAR neutrals that do not come off in a half hour when my eyes water from airborne allergies.

Thanks for being honest- I value your opinion (all of you guys- I take your opinions into consideration all of the time).

Oh no, I totally understand what you are saying.

Here is another thing that I thought about that I wanted to talk about too..... one thing that is a challenge that I have to work with is the fact that I HAVE to use base on my eyes to make anything stay put for any amount of time.

Not only does it vanish (MAC is the worst- completely disappears in under 30 minutes), but it will also cause reactions sometimes and I can not tell when that will be, so I need to protect my skin with a base, which makes moving shadow around nearly impossible sometimes.

Then there is the other factor- airborne allergies. Sometimes my eyes water so badly that I have to go for weeks with no makeup when it is seasonal allergy season. Liquidlast is the first ray of hope I have seen- other than FL, (which do wear off in about an hour when I have badly watering eyes).- but at least FL stay somewhat on for a while. LLL Stay on a LONG time through a whole long watery day!

So, in order to make any makeup stay put, I have to pack it into place before the base sets and then it will stay.

This leads to no other option than intense application those days.

Once in place, there is no way to blend or move the colors, except for applying an additional layer over it to blend, but photographs put that up, where the naked eye will not see it.

So, the reason I do not get to do as many neutral eyes is because the bases that I have to use have not been easy to use with a neutral as they tend to either be severe(the darks STICK to the base and stay chunky), or wear off instantly and then why bother.

I prefer to blend and do light ombre sort of looks, but often my eyes will not lend themselves to this kind of look. The bases make it almost impossible to do this. Without the base, either the shadow disappears almost instantly, or it causes irritation so again it is useless to try.

The UDPP is working a little better the more that I experiement with it so I can finally use neutrals more, but once my eyes water, it is bye bye makeup.

UDPP has opened up my ability to use more neutral tones with better blending for now- time will tell.

Anyway, just wanted to let you know why I do things the way I do on myself.

When I do clients' makeup, I do a much better job (sometimes I forget just how GOOD I can do makeup until I do someone else's), as I do not have all of the obstacles and safeguards to work around when doing THEIR makeup like I do mine.

Anyway, Thanks for listening! Sometimes it helps me to talk it all out, because I don't always enjoy the limitations that I have in makeup which force me to go intense on days when I would just love to be subtle.

Oh well, at least I can still wear MAKEUP! Right?

You look breathtaking! I love this neutral look on you, and I agree with the comment on it taking years off your face (and also I'm not trying to be rude either). Gorgeous!
