Exactly! Honestly, I'm over ms and that is part of the reason. Yeah I still go on to check my mail and stuff but now everyone and their mom is on there and it's not as exciting as it used to be. Specktra took over my addiction

THis is why I dont have anyone I dont know on my friends list. my profile is private and you have to know my last name to add me as a friend.

I use it stricktly to keep in touch with my real friends. thats about it

Yeh i never got into the whole myspace thing... However thats probably because my little pre-occupation as a cam-whore ended when myspace was just starting. I was all about live-journal.

I'm sure there are a few pics of me still floating around the internet that my Mom wouldn't be proud of LOL. I was so niave lol.

Not to mention in many cases on-line friends end up being rather... Shallow? And in many of the cases when you do make a jump to meeting them in RL, they end up being TOTALLY different than the people they are on-line. So yeh, I keep internet relations to discussions mainly now.

i love how on MySpace, you can have your profile set on private and eople you don't even know (who don't even live near you, and have NOTHING in common) still try to add you as friends...shows how shallow the whole thing really is, huh?

I had more thoughts on this that I just had to come back for. I actually had a MySpace acct. at one point but gave it up because it was just plain boring after I designed the page and added a few blog entries. I also decided in Aug., for my birthday, that I would not be one of those 30-year-people with a damn MySpace. I'm grown enough to call my "friends" or shoot an email to keep in touch, so I deleted my profile.

I think it all depends on what your expectations are from it. I have one and am in my late 30's, but mine is more to promote my work as a freelance makeup artist. I have met some cool models and photographers on there and I have given a lot of advise to people wanting to get into the industry.

I don't go on there expecting to meet a best friend or have some really incredible conversations (although I do have those with some of my real life and online girlfriends on there!) and I'm already married so I don't go on to meet or show my pics to men.

Not suggesting that anyone here does that, but a lot of people on there do. I only add people interested in makeup, because I know I will have that in common with them but other than that I don't have any great hopes for it, so I never feel disappointed or that the people are fake.
