Hi Ladies and Gents, thought I would share with you additional information about a collection I wrote about on the blog this morning. Astro Girl is a zodiac themed collection of four individual quads.
Napoleon is lifelong enthusiast of Astrology and this collection encapsulates that. “I always ask people what their sign is,” adds Perdis. “It speaks volumes. Now you can also display your zodiac colors with your makeup, and use their strength to add balance to your life, promote tranquility and create a sense of well-being.”
The individual breakdowns for each quad are as follows:
PRISMATIC EYE SHADOW QUAD: FIRE
“Where there’s smoke—there’s a passionate fire sign!” -NAPOLEON
Fire signs are take-charge, self-assured and enthusiastic beings. Our Fire quad celebrates that verve with coppery red for Aries, deep gold for Leo and vivid purple for Sagittarius. Use the pink shade, representing the Moon, to blend or highlight.
PRO TIP: For mercurial eyes, press purple onto the mobile lid, and sweep red lightly through the socket. Then pat gold onto the inner corner of the eye and work pink onto the brow bone. For a celestial glow, dust pink onto the high points of the face—cheekbones, forehead, bridge of the nose and chin—for pale skin tones. Use the gold if you have a medium or dark skin tone.
PRISMATIC EYE SHADOW QUAD: EARTH
“Practical, dependable and reliable—Earth signs are easy to admire.” -NAPOLEON
For all their vaunted earthiness, Earth signs also appreciate a little decadence and dazzle. The Earth quad boasts brilliant blue for Taurus, metallic olive for Virgo, and bright jade for Capricorn. Use the coral shade, representing the Sun, to blend or highlight.
PRO TIP: For supernatural glamour press olive, jade or blue shade onto the mobile lid and sweep coral through the socket for subtle definition. Also tap coral onto the cheekbones for an instant pick-me-up and onto the lips with clear gloss for an ethereal lip shade.
PRISMATIC EYE SHADOW QUAD: AIR
“Air signs are chatty, friendly and sociable. What’s not to love?” -NAPOLEON
The horoscope’s most affable signs are also among its most intellectual. Air types will appreciate this brainy selection of hues. There’s vivid yellow for Gemini, salmon pink for Libra, and electric lilac for Aquarius. Use the gunmetal shade, representing the Moon, as a definer.
PRO TIP: For sublime peepers, line with the gunmetal shadow, wet or dry, apply pink or lilac to the mobile lid and socket, and finish up with a lick of yellow below the inner corner of the brow.
PRISMATIC EYE SHADOW QUAD: WATER
“Water signs will make a splash with this riveting quad.” -NAPOLEON
Sensitive, sensual and creative are among the hallmarks of Water, which are brought to life in this edgy quad. There’s silvery white for Cancer, deep charcoal for Scorpio and bright turquoise for Pisces. Use the pink shade, representing the Sun, to blend or highlight.
PRO TIP: For dramatic beauty press charcoal onto the mobile lid, and sweep turquoise lightly through the socket. Then pat pink onto the inner corner of the eye and work white onto the brow bone.
Exploring other elements is also suggested, and a chart is provided to help assist you in choosing your combinations. “Aside from exploring your own triplicity, I advise experimenting with the others,” says Perdis. “If you want to be more resolute, try the Fire quad. Or if you want to amp up your perceptive skills, look to the Water quad.”
I love the theme of the collection. I am totally into astrology and the zodiac, and this collection is really true to that.
I'll try to get swatches up soon!
