Nars?

I was just wondering if anyone here worked for/applied to Nars before....
Do they hire through the department store's HR dept or through the counter itself (like MAC does)?
I know that the pay is pretty nice, but is most of that comission, or is the base pay high too?
How is the selling pressure? Do they have stupid stuff like AUS/IPT or is it just goal?

Ummmm...I'm sure there is more, but that's all I can think of now. TIA!

from their site:

Our human resources department accepts resumes via email only at [email protected]. Resumes are kept on files for a period of six months. Include the position you are interested in in the subject line of your email. If you are sending a resume for a freelance and/or makeup artist position, mention the region you are interested in.

I was just seeing about applying for them also, if you are applying for freelance, use the email address from their site, write to either Tonya Bures or Anne Ellis. But if you're applying for a permenant position, apply to that specific counter. Let me know if you find out any info on they're freelance policies or selling policies.

Hi! I'm kinda new to this site... love it already!!

I worked for Nars before it was pulled from Macy's in the West Coast and they hire through the department store's HR department.

It's been a few years since I worked for them, but they did require AUS/IPT goals. When I was a CM, someone in corporate NY called out of the blue one day and requested that I fax them the Daily Business Reports for my counter. We were doing fine in our numbers, but it was pretty unexpected...

Depending on location, it was a harder sell to make goals whenever there was a MAC Store/counter around because of the lower price points... I think it makes more sense that it's only in 'specialty' doors now...

hope this helps...
