Natural skincare regimes

Who here uses natural skincare regimes, for example Lush, etc. I am really interested in beauty products that are organic and free of parabenes (sp), preservatives and all those other icky chemicals. I am currently looking to revamp my whole skincare regime and would like to know what you gals use.

Try Juice Beauty. They are Certified Organic and *I think* paraben free.
However, almost everything around you has parabens. Your food, your dishwashing soap, your toilet bowl cleaner, everything. You may not be able to steer clear of them completely. I myself do prefer to go as natural as possible though. Korres is one of my favorite skincare brands, I highly recommend checking that one out.
Both Juice Beauty and Korres are available at good ol Sephora!!

Most Lush skincare products do have parabens in them and aren't organic, just so you know. I used to use their Fresh Farmacy soap, Angels on Bare Skin exfoliant and Imperialis moisturizer. It worked fairly well for me, but as I'm getting older I switched over to more of a wrinkle-preventative routine (with lots of chemicals, unfortunately). A great natural choice is Juice Organics, which is the lower priced line of Juice Beauty (which I'm sure is also good but I've never tried the fancy line). I still use Juice Beauty's Nourishing Cleanser, which is a great, creamy mild cleanser but wouldn't be good for someone with oily skin.

What works for you generally all comes down to what kind of skin you have and what problems you're trying to solve. I've tried a lot of Lush's stuff, so if you have any questions ask away!

I use all Lush skincare, and I LOVE it. I have combination skin with occasional breakouts (usually stress or PMS related) and a bit of dryness in the winter, and with Lush, my skin has never looked better. That said, I know from browsing the Lush forums that some people do better with it than others. It's true that Lush is not totally organic, but I think if you want to get away from a lot of nasty chemicals, it's a good line.

For reference, here's what I use:
AM: Aquamarina cleansing roll (smells funny but is a nice, calming cleanser), Tea Tree Oil (all around nice toner for oilier skins), and Imperialis moisutrizer (fairly light with a slight mattification effect on oilier skins)

PM: Alternate between Herbalism (another funny smelling one, but really cleansing with nice exfoliating bits) and Coalface (which gives a great fresh feeling clean) for cleansing, Tea Tree Water, and Celestial moisturizer (too greasy for daytime, but a nice drink when my skin is feeling dry).

Occasionally: Ocean Salt (for awesome skin smoothing, blackhead fighting goodness) or Mask of Magnaminty (deep pore cleansing mask that smells like mint chocolate chip ice cream).

Some words of warning about Lush: All but two of their moisturizers contain cocoa butter, and not all skin types can get away with this without breaking out. Also, if you're going to switch to Lush entirely, do it one product at a time so as not to freak your skin out. If you live near a Lush store, go in and ask for samples of skincare; they are usually very generous. They have a bunch of different products but not everyone has good luck with them, so if you can, try before you buy so you don't waste a lot of money before finding out that your skin hates Lush!

Woot! Nice to see plenty of Lush addicts around. I only use thier products and some different oils for face and body.

In the morning I clease with Lush Herbalism face cleanser. It's has a gentle exfoliating effect. I follow that with a toner made from apple cider vinegar and a bit of honey, and moisturize with Lush Enzymion moisturizer which is for oily skin and leaves your face matte. The smell is delicious.

I have basically the same regime for night time, cleanse with herbalism, tone with the acv mixture, but I moisturize with jojoba oil and shea butter for the really dry spots.

Every 2 days I also use Lush Ocean Salt face scrub. It contains crushed sea salt which can be harsh on some skin but leaves me glowing! Every other day I put on a mask made from natural yoghurt with acidophilus and sometimes I use a Lush mask, either Ayesha or Love Lettuce. Check out the Lush website for more info on these products

I havn't really used any other brands besides Jurlique. My wallet didn't like thier stuff that much. And I get a discount at my local Lush so I'm pretty loyal
