NC or NW? How do I decide?

OK, this is no doubt a dumb question, but I'm confused. One Mac MUA told me that I'm a NC25 in Studio Fix Powder Foundation; another that I'm NW 20 in the Studio Fix Fluid. I always thought that one's undertones were pretty fixed, and didn't differ from one formula to another. Any thoughts? I don't trust my own eye to know how best to decide.

I had the same problem! one told me im nc25 and one told me im nw20.
Im definitly yellow - but one of the mac mua told me i dont need more yellow..
what i did is to take samples from both and tried it at home to see what i like best. (i took the nc25)
