Need a Color Rec for This Dress!

Hi folks! Dang, it's been a long time since I've posted, but I am a lurking queen.

My question's pretty basic - I'm looking for a bluish eyeshadow to match a dress I'm wearing to a friend's wedding. Everything I have right now is too light or too close to teal to really work, and I would love a blue - I have a silver to highlight, but a nice blue "spark" would be fantastic. Here's the dress (sorry for the blurriness of the pic)

Not sure how the color will show up on your monitors, but in real life it's a sort of royal blue that flashes violet in the light. Is there anything that MAC has - or another line, for that matter - that will match up to this shade better than what I have now? Any help is appreciated!

Blue storm pigment is a really good match - it's a medium-darkish smokey blue with blue/violet duochrome.

But want my honest opinion? I truly believe that any more blue for the eyes (even if it's a small dab in the crease) would be a little too much (esp. for attending a wedding) - you dress is already a vivid and beautiful color and I think it's better to keep the eyes/whole makeup look more neutral.

Soft goldish/bronze colors for the eyes, like mentioned above, would be fabulous - or also try taupes or soft bronzy browns, which I think would also go well with the dress.

Have you seen cocomotion pigment from the new rushmetal collection? It's a gorgeous tarnish gold with slight olive tones which I think would look great in the crease paired with a neutral on the lid (since the flowers/leaves on your dress are golden olive colored) - this way, you won't be overloaded with blue, but at the same time, the color scheme on your eyes will still match those on your dress.

Hope that helps!

I agreewith the above posts. A gold bronze look would look great with this dress. The blue would be a tad too much and would compete with the dress IMO.
