Need Help Applying Hyper Real Foundation!

So I've been using BE foundation for a while now, but I recently ordered Hyper Real and let's just say that applying liquid foundations is not my strong point! I feel it is always streaky, cakey, or doesn't cover my rosy cheeks/blemishes easily without me packing it on, again, creating a cakey look.

That being said, can anyone give me tips on how to apply this foundation? I want to look natural and dewy, not all weighed down. I have tried the 187 brush with studio fix fluid and it didn't work either, it looked too heavy! I feel at a loss. Is a sponge a good tool?

I always mix my liquid foundation (select spf) with moisturizer, I find it easier to apply, and it's not as heavy/cakey. I used to use BE foundation too. Actually, I still do in the summer. Hope that helps!

I've been using Hyper Real almost every day for nearly a year and a half and I do it with my fingers! I use the amount of one pump for my whole face. I find HR extremely easy to apply, it just glides on! What it doesn't do is build up, so you don't get more cover if you use more. For red areas etc I put a little select moisturecover on and blend in.
