Need help picking a present

I want to give my future sister-in-law some make-up as a present...alas I'm unsure what she would like. She hasn't been introcuded to the joys of MAC yet, but likes make-up in general. She's 20 and what I'd describe a typical Middle Eastern beauty with black hair, huge dark eyes and long lashes...what would be a "safe" product to buy?

maybe a gift card? you can schedule an appointment for her & take her to get her makeup done..then help her pick out makeup.

i think you should play it safe and get her products which pretty much mimic what she typically wears, unless she's someone who likes to try new looks.

i would probably go and make up a quad of basic shadows, or maybe even get her the fafi eyes 1 quad. and throw in a plushlash mascara.

or, how about some technakohl eyeliners or paint pots? i use graphblack, and in pp's i think because of her coloring she could wear almost any of them... maybe you can get her a neutral (i.e., painterly, or groundwork) and a color (if you know she has a favorite color that she wears often?)

hope that helps, let us know what you get!

I would, but the next MAC is two hours away

Otherwise that would probably be the best!

Great idea. She wears mostly neutrals and almost always black kohl. I was thinking maybe some lipstuff? I feel you can't go very wrong with a nice pinkish gloss, while eyeshadows and the like are much more difficult to pick. Mhhh.

MAC and i think Sephora as well, do e-gift certificates that you just have sent to the recipients email. maybe you could try that?
