Hello!

I wanted to buy myself more brownish-e/s, since I'm working as a make-up artist and I need to do more natural stuff ....

I used mainly the brown shades from KRYOLAN, but I want to buy a whole palette with new shades to fit every skin tone and now I have to make a decision between three brands:

-Make-up Forever

I like their big range of colors, bought some eyeshadows so far, but somehow they are bit too powdery for my taste and cause too much eyeshadow fall out...besides they don't have that much natural toned shadows....

Any solutions for that fall-out problem ? Using other brushes then normal ? I don't know

-MAC

I like the range of brown shades they have ... I could easily fill a palette with them, ....they shadows feel a litte more "pressed" that the MUFE ones...experiences comparing them with the MUFE ones ?

-Kryolan

I have the normal palettes of Kryolan but now he came out with more satiny eyeshadows which would be great since I like the texture more, but I would need to order them online, so I coulnd't have a look at them first....which sucks....anyways....would be the cheapest version I think

I LOVE the texture of the Grand Lumiere Eyeshadows of Ben Nye, but I don't like the texture of the normal e/s by Ben Nye....unfortunately they have just very bright colors with the lovely texture of teh Grand Lumiere....
I just explain so you know which kind of texture I would prefer...=)
I like this smooth, very blendable, highly pigmented stuff....

Sou would you go rather for Mac, for MUFE or maybe a completely different brand ?

Can you list pros and cons for me, resp. own experiences ?

Check out Smashbox. I recently purchased their Nude eyeshadow and the formula is great to work with. They have a nice variety of shades that are natural skin tone colors.

My only other experience has been with MAC, and I prefer the Matte^2 formula (which they are now discontinuing). I haven't tried the natural shades of MUFEs matte shadow yet (though I want to), but they have a wider range of colors than MAC. It didn't seem so when I when to a Sephora store in person, but they have many more shades online (and I'm sure even more than that at the MUFE boutique in NY).

Good luck to you. TBH with matte natural shades, fallout just comes with use, so you may have to adjust your application routine (lay down loose powder under the eye for prep as example).

I'm no expert, but I loved the Naked/Neutral palettes by Too Faced & the Urban Decay Naked palette (which I got for myself).
