heya...

my addiction to mac is fairly recent.Got a couple of things...msf's and blush...a 187...kohl pencils...
now i need some new e/s..i just got mulch, trax.and sketch(was a bit sad to hear so many negative reviews on trax,though...i think its amazing)
Well, since im not so into colored e/s yet,i prefer starting with neutral eyes...by neutral, i mean browns...and greys,as in smoky eyes!!Also, im an NC 35/37 and pales and pastels and outlandish colours so do not look good on me!! I look like a martian!lol

but,...Deep,rich,shimmery colours look fab!

I dont plan to dish out a fortune on the stuff, but i can afford...umm...
(1)one basic shade for highlighting

(2)three more earthy/smoky colours(preferably not matte)

(3)one basic, versatile e/s brush that does my blending, and outer V...and more or less, the whole eye makeup.I prefer angled ones.Im confused between 252,which was great wen the MA gave it to me to do my eyes...The 217,which ive read a lot of good reviews about, but doesnt seem firm enough to me at all,and the 272,which looks great too!and do u even believe that mac eye brushes do a better job than the others??Are they worth it??

plzzz help...im going for my mac haul pretty soon...im counting on u guys..!!

IMO, the best neutrals are Vanilla (light beige), Cork (light gold brown), Jest (frosted copper peach), Carbon (black... almost a must for "smoky" eyes), and Embark (dark reddish brown). I'm NC15 though so I'm not sure how it would look on darker skin. I for a really dark eye I use black tied, nehru, forgery, and blacktrack e/l.

The brush I bought, 217, is really amazing... for concealer. I think that the smashbox brushes are better for e/l than the MAC (after trying my mother's MAC eyeliner brushes). Not sure about e/s brushes though...

I can't tell you about the 272, but I do not prefer the 252. I find it too big to work with and prefer the slightly smaller version: 242. The 242/252 is great for packing color and using with pigments dry or wet, but for blending, I'd definitely go with the 217

Ploof! to highlight
OR Pearl Cream Base would work just as good and is very pretty and versatile

Woodwinked or Sable as an earthy colour

And I love Club E/s just for fun days !

And 219 brush is my absolute must have!

1) Honesty, All That Glitter, or Shroom

2) Sumptous Olive, Patina, Mulch

3) 217 and 224 brushes are must haves. I want at least two more of each.
