Well im not going to lie that isnt going to look very good to the people that are hireing. Beacuse even though you say you have a good work ethic and know mac products preety much every other person that comes through the door is going to say that 2.

The only way i could really see them going for you is if you charm their pants off (not literally lol) which might get you a chance to makeup a model and show them that even though you dont have as much experience you have superior skills to the more experienced artists.

I don't want to discourage you itsjam but, I agree with amoona.
MAC is a notriously difficult company to get in with. Even if you read through posts on here, there are plenty of people with experience that qaulifies them that can't seem to get in with MAC or at least it takes forever.
I've also never heard of MAC hiring someone that didn't have retail experience.
My suggestion to you is to get into retail, possibly apply at a different line. I'm not saying you shouldn't apply at MAC because you should do whatever you want. I am saying that if you want better chances you should start of in retail or at a different cosmetics line

Someone that I used to work with at MAC, was 18 and it was her first real job. She began as a freelancer and moved her way up to permanent. It's rare, but it happens.

well it's worth a shot I think! What can they say but no? And perhaps if they're not interested they can give you some tips on how to get experience.

it does seem hard to believe, since so much of what they want to see in an employee is someone with selling experience...but, go for it if it's your true passion

It really depends on your region and the timing - I've heard of everything but if you live in a regios with a million artists trying to get on with MAC then no retail experience is a hinderance. But if your store/counter just lost some employees (either through promotions or just in general) and they are short staffed and in need - you might luck up.
