New foundation, powder, ...

Hey all,

I'm currently using Mac Matchmaster foundation in shade 1.00 and bronzing powder from the Hey Sailor collection.

It's coming to it's end so I want some advice on new products.

- The foundation I use now, I don't know I feel it's to light, sometimes it makes me look like a vampire so I would go NW20. But I have no idea which foundation to get?
I was doubting between Studio fix fluid, studio tech and pro longwear. What should I get :)

- I wonder if I should use powder + bronzing powder? yes or no?

Thanks

What's your skin type and what kind of finish do you prefer? Light, medium, full coverage.... matte or dewy? I always put powder on after my foundation (unless wearing a powder based foundation) then I dust bronzing powder lightly on my cheeks, above my brow and along my jawline.

I have normal skin, I have blackheads in my t-zone. I want medium to full coverage. I also have light skin but as I said the current foundation I have (Matchmaster in shade 1.0) makes my skin even lighter.

I believe I need NW15 or NW20

SFF is much lighter in colour than Pro Longwear, from what I've been able to tell, and Pro Longwear doesn't have an NW15 shade. Studio Tech, IMO, would give you the most coverage (cream foundations have a fuller coverage than liquid foundation), and you could always sheer it out if you wanted less. Shade-wise, I think it's closer to SFF than Pro Longwear is. That said, if you're happy with the finish of Matchmaster, maybe try going down to 1.5 or 2? Regardless, if you live near a MAC counter or store, definitely test these out for yourself.

I haven't worn MAC foundation for about 6 years until now. Reason being it really made me break out. Now that I'm 26, using the clarisonic, and on acne meds my face can take it now. I recently just purchased the pro long wear and msf natural (as a powder after applying pro- longwear.) The SA picked pro- longwear for me after I told her I had redness, acne scars and I was very oily. For scars and redness she gave me pro longwear concealer. I haven't broke out yet! The finish is very nice. It can be sheer or you can build it up for night to day wear. You should definitely look into it. She also recommended to get an MSF in a few shades darker for contour and bronzer which I did and it looks so natural. Hope this helps!

Thanks!

I don't like the matchmaker foundation it's a bit cakey and looks to matte. So won't take that one again.

I'll be reading some reviews on the pro longwear one
