New-ish to MAC!

I know i know where have i been all this time?! So i'm getting married in March and needed the basics (foundation,concealer,etc) so went to my nearest department store-Harvey Nichols to the Mac counter. The lady was really nice however had only been working there for a couple of months,anyway she tried a couple of different shades of Studio Fix and said the shade most suited to me was NC35 however gave me NC40,realised when i had got home! I'm not so sure now what i need now and am really confused because she tried concealers too and the best,at the time,was Select MoistureCover but when i tried it at home it was cakey and creased into the lines(i'm 25! where the hell did they come from!?). I really need some help! I have yellowy undertones and have oily/combination skin. I can post a pic but i'm embarrassed though LOL! I need a foundation with good coverage but not too heavy and concealer which won't cake but still hide my undereye circles and hope you lovely ladies can help me out!

Take them both back if you're not happy (and especially as one is incorrect!), products often look so different once you get out of the glare of the store lights. Perhaps ask a different MA and get a second opinion on the concealer (and foundation) and have a look in natural light before deciding? They're pretty good with exchanges at Mac.

I use Studio Fix Fluid often however and I'd say it *may* be a little heavy for what your looking for anyway. Although it can always be mixed with a little moisturiser.

Thanks for replying! I did actually go near the door with her to check and it looked fine bit kinda yellowy but thought it'd settle down after a while and blend into my skintone!? I'm going back tomorrow to return them and not sure if Studio Tech would be better as alot of MUA use it (Indian MUA i've spoken to when they do bridal make-up) and this is the reason i need it-for my wedding. Aargh i'm so confused!
