Pigments are measured by weight, not volume. The heavier the pigment type, the less you will appear to physically have in the jar.

If they have been sitting in a CCO the product will have settled as well, looking less full.

I remember when I bought my blonde's gold it wasn't as full as the other pigments, I think it's because they go by weight? Sorry if that wasn't much help =/ Hopefully the other members will be of more help

Pigments are measured by weight. This pigment may be denser, so they don't look like they have as much product. Pigments also settle a lot, especially in CCOs since they sit there for a long time. Have you tried to shake it up? It should be almost full if you shake it up good. HTH!

Hi...Burnt burgundy doesnt come full, most mattes dont do to the weight. My Heritage that I got direct is 7/8 full and my antique green is just a bit fuller then heritage. All mine are BNIB from MAC so this is just the way they come

my Antiqued Green looked very low even when i bought it at the counter! i can tell though that there is a lot of product to it compared to the 'fluffier' pigments. plenty of Antiqued Green to go around!

When I first bought Antique Gold p/g from my MAC counter, I kinda freaked out because it looked like someone had majorly skimmed like 1/4 of the pigment, but I learned from my lovely Specktrettes that the weight on certain pigments were indeed different. It is totally weird when you see it at first, though.

My Reflects Duo Purple glitter was really low... even the girl at the CCO thought it was strange. My Reflects Copper was all the way to the top... so I don't know why my Purple one was so low... but I never use it so I don't really mind.

yes the metal pigments like antique green don't come filled up. iut's never really bothered me though that they don't go to the top of the jar... i've never finished a pigment before in my life so don't think it matters much.

The Reflects Blue is also low. If it didn't come directly from MAC I would think that there was a problem but I know it was new!

Yep, that's how I felt... if I didn't buy it new, I would've assumed someone dumped out a quarter of the jar. It's also why I asked at the CCO when the subject came up in a chat, and the associate was kind enough to check the other ones they had to make sure I didn't get one that someone stole some out of (as stranger things have probably happened than that...).

Hi there, I have a bunch of pigments from this collection (Heritage Rouge, Vintage Gold, Antique Green) and they all came a lot less full. Sorry if someone else said this already, but the pigments from this collection are actually only 4.3g vs. the normal 7.5g for all other pigments!!! Even though they're the same price!! Crazy right??? So that's the biggest reason the jars are less full - because you really ARE getting a lot less product!

But in my MAC addicted opinion it's totally worth it because these are the best pigments I have ever seen and so completely beautiful, both colorwise and formulawise. I could eat them.
