New Milani Color Statement Lipstick Formula and Packaging plus Sucky Liquid Liners

Was strolling in my local grocery and saw these displays. I only purchased 2 of the liquid liners, a matte black and a nano-glitter laden teal--both say they're waterproof. I let them dry on my hand just now and licked just once at them--obliterated. Now I suppose they'll be more waterproof in a fair test with waterdrops but geez. Anywho the lipstick looks and smells great! I think I'll exchange the liners for the lipsticks.

[h=5]Ok this lippie is gonna be something! I hope they dupe Mac colors! 1-2 swipes gave me this opaqueness! Feels good on my lips, has a good smell, no weird taste, and doesn't have that slippery waxy feel. All creamy and dreamy![/h]

Found a reset for lipsticks today in store! They kept about 4-5 colors but the rest are all new! Had to replace my Black Cherry and so glad I did. The glide is so smooth! My next replacement will be Rose Hip! And then I gotta get this Sangria l/s. It looks like it could be Cyber or Young Rapunzel l/s. Def had to get Sweet Nectar as it replaces the matte orange from the old line. Flamingo Pose is a bright Pink-Coral.

My favorites so far are Dark Cherry, Rose Hip, Orange Nectar, Teddy Bare, Flamingo Pose, Fruit Punch, and Bronze Beauty. I bought Sangria and Nude Creme. I'm NC50. Nude Creme is making me look a tad Jim Crow at full strength and Sangria is a lighter version of Dark Cherry with more red-pink. Sangria also lacks the liquid shine of the other mattes CREAMS and seems dull and not as opaque.

2-4-13 Edit: Sangria is considered a MATTE by Milani which is not too correct based on my swatches. It's more a pseudo matte. All other lipsticks but Bronze Beauty, a shimmer, are CREAMS.

Milani Color Statement Lipsticks come in 6 types:

• Cream - Orange Nectar, Nude Creme, Fruit Punch, Flamingo Pose, Teddy Bare, Rose Hip, Dark Cherry
• Matte - Sangria
• Vinyl
• Metallic
• Shimmer - Bronze Beauty
• Pearl

On second thought with Nude Creme, it doesn't hurt as long as I put it on lightly. I don't have very dark lips.

Like kimbunney, I have a good collection of lipsticks and cannot pass up on these new packaged lipsticks. I love the shade in Rose Hip and, well, all of them. I will definitely save up money to get my pretty little hands on these. We're all very grateful that you shared all the new lipsticks and swatches. ;-)

No problem! I'm actually happy I took pictures, I thought I was being OCD for no reason lol. I noticed a barrage of youtuber beauty gurus are getting these l/s in a red lip-shaped bag from Milani but they've all been sent the same reds and two oranges in the collection. So everyone is reviewing the same thing but they're not reviewing or swatching (IMO) the most exciting colors--excluding Orange Nectar.

Here's hoping Violet Volt is all that as a metallic. I wore Chilled Brandy today and it is truly an opaque sheet of red tinged burgundy. I usually don't like metallics either.

Violet Volt, Double Espresso, and D'Oro arrived today. Alright, I'm let down by Violet Volt but I'm most likely keeping the it. VV is a dupe for Violetta; Violetta has a pinch of blue iridescence to make it tad different.
