New shade?

Hi everyone,

I'm new here, so apologies if this is in the wrong place!

I received a new MAC lipstick today, which I purchased off of Ebay. The shade is 'dorothy-shoes' and I'm absolutely delighted with it! I can't tell for sure, but I think it's relatively close to 'Queen's Sin' which I was devastated to miss out on. I've had a bit of a dig about on the web, but found no information whatsoever about it, so I was curious whether it is an obsolete shade (although it's not stale), or a yet-to-be-released shade. Does anyone know anything about it? If it helps at all, the label on the packaging says 'dorothy-shoes (WN) sample'.

WN = Working Name, this is the term MAC uses in product development.

If you feel it's close to Queens Sin then it might indeed be Queens Sin just before it was officially named so for it's debut in the collection.

If you think about it, Queen's Sin does look like Dorothy's Shoes from the Wizard of Oz....LOL.

Or could it possibly be a red lipstick under its working name from the Naughty Nauticals collection? There is sure to be red lips in that collection

dorothy's shoes is queen's sin. i like the name dorothy's shoes better.

Oh. Good for you that you were able to get Queen's Sin since you missed out on the collection release. Things have a way of coming together.

excuse me if this is the wron place, but is there any online list with some WN released? I also have a Sample-Lipstick called FLASHTRONIC, but this wasn´t part of this collection. It´s a creamy pink without sparkles or pearl finish. However, not only for this one, I would be interested in some "alternative names" in general. Thanks

Queens sin was from Antiquitease. I have some pigment working names from Antiquitease collex as well -

Telway pigment was Sweet Sienna
M was Your Ladyship
