New to make up

Hi everyone, I just recently joined this site. I have lived under my parents roof for 20 years and they are pretty strict about make up, partly because my dad is a muslim. I now live on my own and I was looking into buy make up for the first time and I have no clue where to start. I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction as to where to start. I was thinking maybe Mac, but that's expensive or Estee Lauder. I tried L'oreil but Cover girl but they do not really work for my skin tone. I am 20 years old, with olive colour skin and dark brown eyes. I also have dark black hair with light brown highlights

I appreciate it in advance for any help!

things like eyeshadow can be really tricky, so start with the basics like foundation, concealer and mascara. I guess since summer is here you might as well go for a tinted moisturizer. I love the one by benefit and its called you rebel, they sell it at sephora (not sure where you live but you can get it online) I also loooove benefit mascara! It's amazing.

MAC is not expensive. Estee Lauder is more expensive than MAC. out of the high-end brands that i know, MAC is the cheapest.

Umm, that's totally subjective. It may not be for you, but you have no idea what her budget is.
