New to MSF...what color??

I'm a natural redhead, blue eyes, and pretty pale. I THINK I have cool toned skin (I have blue veining in my wrists, which I was told means you're cool toned), but my hair color is definitely a warm red, so I can pull off golds, coppers, etc.

I have no idea where to even begin with the MSFs. I REALLY want to try the Redhead one from the Blonde Brunette Redhead collection, but I guess I jumped on the MAC train a little late for that

So, what is a good color to try out for someone who is pretty pale? I don't want to look like a clown.

Thanks so much! This is my first "real" post here, so please let me know if I did something wrong.

Hi there. If you can still get your hands on By Candlelight from the Love Lace Collection you'll fall in love and wonder how you could have lived without it.
Soft & Gentle is also a popular choice (I don't like it that much TBH). Blonde is also an awesome choice but good luck finding one. Another option that isn't MAC (oh, the blasphemy!) is Bobbi Brown's Shimmer Bricks in either Beige or the pink one (they also work as eye shadows) and give a gorgeous glow to the face.

You definately need to get your hands on Redhead or Blonde, if you wanted it to double as a blush & not just a highlighter as these are 2 of the most "colourful" MSF's and IMO 2 of the best.

Try & check out Makeup Alley or the Clearance Bin section (when you have enough posts) to see if you can snap either up.

Am new to the MSFs too, so I have no specific recs. But if you are looking for any of the discontinued ones, a local CCO might be a good resource. They seem to pop up there a lot.

I love By Candlelight & Petticoat. Both give my light skin a pretty glow/highlight without making me look like a discoball or too over the top.

i agree on by candle light and petticoat - both make a fabulous pinky glow when i use them on their own or even over blush. i also think if you can get redhead you should - it's a fabulous peachy shade that would look great on you. i also really like shimpagne which is a nice peachy / champagne highlight colour

Hi Tara,
I was at a CCO in Loveland, CO about a week ago & they had both the blonde & redhead MSF. I have the redhead & love it. I am very fair w/natural strawberry blonde hair. If you google them you could call & see if they still have it. Good luck!
