Well, I decided to laugh in the face of all that went wrong the last couple of months and dress up wild for New Years Eve. I live in a city area where their idea of dressing up is to put on a sparkle T-Shirt with polyester double knit slacks.
Expensive occasions are usually dotted with very few high fashion women and men, so dressing like this is sort of like, well, wearing an evening gown to a little league game.
HOWEVER, we have noticed more people starting to venture out and dress up a little more than usual.
At first I was kind of wondering if I could handle being so different that night when everyone seeemd to choose plain black and boring as their palette, but when they handed out feathered headdresses for New YEars, I began to see MAGIC happen.
Women and men were putting them on hats, as unusual neck pieces and headwear. And they all began to smile at me even more. Suddenly the society of the feather adorned began.......
It was quite fun to see the trend happen.
Here is a very poor quality photo of two of the looks I captured, but I had to make it this way to post on another site. I am listing it here just for the convenience that it has all of the makeup I used listed here and I do not have to do it all over again.
(see the outfit photo in later post on this thread)
Here are two other photos of better quality so you can see better. I did thin the beak out a bit when I got there into a finer more artistic point and I felt better.
