Happy New Year.

last night was NYE here and I was on specktra. seeing as we hung out at home it helped pass the time until midnight. we just did our own thing and had wine and yummy food.

I'm all for doing what YOU want to do. Just because the calendar ticks over doesn't mean you have to go out.

I love staying at home NYE, because here going out is a big pain. if you go into the city, you need to get there early and then be prepared to fight the crowds and then try and spend hours getting home. there was at least a million people (literally) in the city last night. there's only so many trains and buses running, and there were only 20 000 taxis. not fun, especially when a lot of those people are very drunk and obnoxious. why do that when i can watch what's happening in the city on TV (along with the fireworks) and i can run upstairs to see some of the fireworks from our window?

I stayed home too. I'm not a fan of partying and I turn so red whenever I drink the slightest bit of alcohol. Last year I went to a party and the year didn't turn out so well, so hopefully my luck will be different in 2007 since I stayed home with my dog! Haha.

I almost forgot, happy new year!!!

I was mostly at home during the day on New Years Eve. Then later at night, my boyfriend and I went to a Chinese buffet restaurant and then headed downtown in time for midnight to watch the fireworks show. It was so crowded!

Wishing all of you a prosperous New Year 2007!

I spent NYE with my boyfriend; he hates crowds and I'm over the whole "big night out" thing so it was a quiet one. We had a late dinner at a seafood and steak restaurant right where the fireworks go off (Decks at Southbank for fellow Brisbanites), our table was outside and we had a great view.

Anyway, I've had both quiet and not-so-quiet New Year's Eve celebrations. I really love new years in general, the year is all fresh and shiny. The end of the year for me is always about evaluating and making decisions, and in January you can start putting plans into practice.

Ian and I spent the night home, Tye came over and we watched a movie. Tye headed home and Ian and I spent the rest of the evening until midnight just hanging out, though admittedly I wasn't on Specktra.

Last night I realized we have the most amazing fireworks views from the 2nd floor of our home. We live in the Texas Hill Country in an area central to a few towns and there are quite a few subdivisions around us, at midnight we watched hundreds of people ring in the new year with fireworks from Ians study upstairs. We could see the fireworks from 3 cities as well as all the neighborhoods around us. I love living at the top of a hill.

I'm really looking forward to 2007, I have such a hope that 2007 will be Specktra's year to shine as the great resource and cosmetic community it's developed into. I'm so proud if it, and all the wonderful members I have to share it with.

I went to church. We didn't have the normal service but we always have musicians or (Christian rappers) and artists come and do a concert. We have a group and record label at the church and the group performed their songs in order in a skit that was really nice. Then we had a few new songs from one of the ladies in that group, who's coming out with a solo album. I didn't get to see Mr. Del because I left with a friend who's family was having a get-together. Had soooo much fun with them. They had a big breakfast prepared (couldn't eat much of it though - changed my eating habits

). We played Taboo (which got out of hand) and a couple of other games. All in all, it was a good night.

I went to a friends house-and every year we always tease him about his horrible fireworks display. Well it's quite funny because we were sitting there and then we all toasted when everyone said happy new year and they had neighbors across the street and they blew off a round of fireworks, and then we blew off some fireworks and it went back and forth like this for about 5 minutes. It was a fireworks version of Dueling Banjos. But the thing is-that the fireworks weren't so horrible they made you go Ughh yay! they were really really good. Either that or I had a little to much to drink

Either way it was good.

I went to this HUGE Arabic party and saw everyone I could think of seeing haha. I actually ran into my cousins ex-boyfriend who I haven't seen since I was 11 ... he tried to hit on me until he realized who I was haha. It's actually my first time doing something for New Years, usually I'm in the Middle East for NYE and we just watch the fireworks and hang out. It was tones of fun!

I wanted to go to a stereotypical 'college aged' party...didnt happen...

haha..

I went to my boyfriend's friend's house with my boyfriend and there were like...4 other people there...we drank some drinks, played mariocart and goldeneye on the N64 and then watched "there's something about mary" until about 10 mins til 12...then some more people showed up and we watched the countdown on some random channel...and then we said happy new year and whatever...and then played more N64...

hehe...

and I wanted to go to like a raging house party and get trashed because I want to at least experience one good college party...but I havent...:p

I was in UTAH! and I guess the religious groups in Salt Lake arent much for partying on sunday, so first night there was a bust. My friends called me around 10 (they were in MD) and wished me a happy new year. after that I promptly went to sleep. I was mad I didn't get to party...haha
