newbie here! question about studio tech

Hi everyone! I am new here and am just starting out with MAC makeup. (I used to use clinique) I have been using studio fix powder for about a month but i think it seems so dry for my face even though i use the prep and prime .....so i ordered the studio tech online and was wondering if anyone knows of a good powder to help set it?

I'm currently using the natural MSF (mineralize skin finish) in light medium to set my studio tech.

When i first started out with MAC 3 years ago, my first foundation was Studio Tech. The MA gave me the Studio fix powder to set it. Sometimes i would use my moms select sheer powder and i liked that too.

This was before MSFs so i dont know how they compare, but thats what i used.

Well I don't know if you want MAC, but I love NYC's translucent loose or pressed powder. I'd suggest a translucent powder either way because studio tech can oxidate and with the added colour from a tinted powder your foundation may get too dark for your skintone over the course of the day.

i started out with studio tech foundation and i used to set it with select sheer pressed powder and it gave it a lovely finish. because studio tech is a heavy foundation in itself i dont know if using studio fix would be a good powder to set it with because then ud be using 2 foundations, but it seems to work for some people. depends how much coverage u want as well.
