newbie to fluidline

I just recently got the fluidline in blacktrack. I really like the staying power. Normally my eyeliner fades rapidly and smudges after about an hour on.

The only problem is ..Im not used to gel/liquid liners. I don't have the steadiest of hands. It's taking me like 5 mintues per eye to line them lol..and it's still not a smooth clean line like I envision. Im using the 209 brush.

Is there another brush that may make application easier? Also after using the 209 brush the first time I wiped it clean on a towel afterwards. The next time I went to use the brush it was all super hard and stiff. I had to wash it out to get it back in normal condition. Is there a proper way in wiping the brush clean after use without it stiffing up?

any suggestions and tips are most greatly appreciated =)

the 266! Nothing is better for Fluidlines, I promise!! Practice a few times on your hand to get the feel of it before you apply to your eyes and you'll see an improvement in no time at all! You'll never go back to pencils

The Smashbox Arched Eyeliner Brush #21. It's bent so you can line easier and lining the waterline is easy because you don't constantly hit lower lashes (which I always do with straight ones, lol).

I bought blacktrack fluidline and finally tried it on my eyes properly tonight, w/ no other makeup my problem is how to I put it on the LEFT eye , i seemed to just easily flick it onto the right in two easy strokes it was there it looked great, touched up a spot or two where I needed to blend it into my lash line a little more but otherwise a nice clean line. The left eye I had issues with awkwardness though I'm right handed, any tips or tricks to make application to the left eye possible? Or will it get easier in time as I practice putting it on in the evening before I wash off my makeup lol

i use both. it just depends on which one i grab. they both work great. i like to use the 263 specifically for doing the wing if i'm doing winged liner, cause its skinnier. it makes a perfect point.

it will get easier with practice. it just takes a little bit of time to figure out how to work around the nose.

if only we could take our nose off, do our other eye, and put our nose back on.

I use bobbi brown's ultra fine eye liner brush mini.

The key for that is "practice makes perfect". So no matter what brush you use, if you're doing it often, you'll get better and better.. trust me

So that I don't have to wash my brush every time I use it, I squirt a small amount of brush cleanser onto a paper towel or tissue, and I rub my 209 brush back and forth across it until its clean.
I do use baby shampoo on it regularly, but I find this easier than running to the sink every day.

I have a sephora angled brush from a set i bought, and its pretty awesome! Its angled, but more thin than MAC one, so it was easier for me to learn with it.

I use the 266 you can do really thin or thick lines with this brush, when I have finished I wipe on a baby wipe and it doesnt go stiff.

i use 212. it works pretty well because it is thin and you can def. make thicker lines also.
