Newbie to Makeup

I'm new at this makeup thing, as this is the first time in my 29 years that I have taken makeup seriously to really wear it. I used to wear glasses, but got Lasik in March, and now I get to play with makeup and not have it toned down by my glasses.

I have medium olive skin, brown eyes and brown hair that has recently been highlighted. I like the look of this combo so far, but any other color suggestions would be great, especially something that is smokey for those nights when I wear the makeup out on the town! I think the colors and look that I have chosen are good for someone who wants to add a little extra kick to their eyes, but still wants to look somewhat natural.

This is me with the colors on that I have been using.

FACE
Olay Touch of Sun Face Moisturizer in Medium to Dark
Maybelline Bronzer Medium to Dark
(No foundation for this girl..I refuse to wear it. Bronzer and moisturizer is plenty face coverage for me!)

MAC Eyeshadow in All That Glitters over entire lid (just a light dusting as to tone down the sparkle of HoneyLust)
MAC Eyeshadow in NanoGold in the Crease
MAC Eyeshadow in Retrospeck to highlight the browbone
MAC Eyeshadow in Tempting on corner of outer lid (I go from a 1/4 of the way in to the outer lid)
MAC Liner in Powersurge (upper outer lid/corner)
MAC Liner in Teddy (lower lid)
Maybelline Volume Express Curved Brush Mascara in Brownish Black
CHEEKS
MAC Blush in BuffLIPS
MAC Lip Pencil in Spice
MAC Lipglass in C-Thru

Any thoughts? Ideas? Suggestions?

The great thing about the smoky eye look is you can do it with so many colors

I love doing mine with forest green pigment with dark soul or Mac's palette shadow "black tied" lightly brushed over it. I also use "deep purple pigment" with "black beauty palette shadow". There are great ones posted here on specktra. Another thing I do is use black & silver then add a touch of a shimmery pink in the inner lid and then like a teal blue before that. I wish I was better at it, so many people here do a great smoky eye.

I hope this helped
