Hi all,

I'm still look for that perfect light/medium brown - just brown enough without being too dark/back or red.
Here is a list of the eyeshadows I don't own - is there something that would really work with my skin lighter skin?

Folie, Mylar,Soba,Cork, Orb, Coquette, Grain, Mystery,Omega, Bamboo
, Charcoal Brown, Soft brown, Malt, Corduroy, Quarry

I was thinking maybe Omega and Charcoal brown based on the website decription?

Thank you all

I dont have Charcoal Brown, but Omega is a very good countour color for eyes on fair skin. I also think it goes on a wee bit darker than it appears in the pan. I have used it to fill in eyebrows on blonde girls, so its good for that as well, just in case anyone wanted to know

I'm just a bit paler than you - Omega is excellent for an eye contour on fair skin, I have it and its one of my HG staples!

I'm NC15 and I love Soba. I have Quarry and it's very light, more purply than brown. I can't speak for the other shades but Soba is worth owning.

Have you tried Kid? On me it's the perfect brown when I want something really neutral.

Soba is a really great yellow brown, I love Honesty, it's one of my favorite crease colors. And Cork. Patina is very nice too.

Have you tried searching for swatches? Its really hard to trust the mac site for true color. I Am nw15, dark brown hair. Some of my favorite browns are kid, tete a tint, swiss chocolate and tempting. I guess which color I would suggest would differ based on where you are looking to place the color.

Here is a swatch with omega and other browns... http://www.specktra.net/forum/f217/n...ml#post1265394

you can also search within this forum for other others.

Forgive me if I am mentioning one you already own. But, I like Copperplate (Matte2) as a mid tone neutral. It's grey-brown. I guess it could be called a cement color. The texture is very smooth. It has no red in it. It's darker than Omega.

Omega is in the lighter neutral tones. It can be used to fill in brows on light haired people. It can be used as contour color on very fair skin tones. Of course, it can be used as a really light almost flesh tone eyeshadow. The texture is not as smooth as Copperplate.
