There's MAC Pro, MUFE free-standing boutique (neither of which I've been to lol)....of course, SAKS, Bloomingdale's, and Macy's have lots of makeup brands....and Sephora! You're going to love NYC! Best place eva (no bias of course lol).

Honestly, they have all of those stores in Phoenix, I wouldn't waste my time going somewhere where you can just as well go while you are at home, What is the fun in traveling if you are just going to the same stores?

i agree... same stores as everywhere else but its in NYC!!!

here are a few if you really want
-MAC Soho - nothing special but i like the neighborhood its in... there are lots of shops there and around the corner is a sephora's
-Mac Pro on 22nd - and right up the block is ANOTHER Mac store... which is the one in the iron building!
-walk along 5th ave... there's a sephora... then there's make up in henri bendel's, saks, bergdorfs and along there you will also find tiffany's, louis, gucci, fendi.... de beers....

oh yeah if u do get out of manhattan there's a CCO in woodbury commons outlet!!! and i think another outlet long island but ive never been to that one!

dont know how long you will be staying but try to go to the different i should say neighborhoods//attractions such as
-the village...SOHO and NOHO... east and west... its very artsy and laid back feel... u might wanna go to st marks or west 4th bcoz wen i took my cousin she was AMAZED at how many things were open at 4 in the morning or how many tattoo spots were still tattooing ppl
-times square bcoz at night its sooo lit up! its really nice
-as ive mentioned the 5th ave for shopping or just window shopping, u can also go to madison too
-chinatown bcoz of the cheapeats and there's nothing like it...
-make ur way to central park! just bcoz...
-u can also go to the cheapeats food places open late like 53rd and 6th, its this umm cart that sells gyros and such... i suggest lamb, rice and salad w/ xtra white sauce... u gotta go... that place sometimes even tho its a blizzard outside the line is ridiculous and the food is amazing its only open from 7pm to the wee hours of the morning so if u get there earlier it might not be the same cart-
-there's also this spot called la esquina i think its on kenmare and its mexican food and their plato julia is amazing!
-cannot forget gray's papaya!! they have a recession special right now... that's if u like hotdogs...

those are just a few things off the top of my head.... i have you have lots of fun!!!

There a lot of great place to eat. I am going in june and hope to hit up the MUFE store. I am trying to lose some weight before I go just because I know I will pack on the weight.

Is that by that huge 'LOVE' sign?? Twice I've walked past there and seen a huge ass queue of people waiting to be served food and I thought they were waiting to get hotdogs or sumthin'! LOL

I'd def rec Chinatown for some of the nice jewellery you can get that Topshop will charge you four times the price for! I got some wicked rings down there last trip which were the envy of my friends when I got home.

How long are you gonna be in NY? You need to plan what you're gonna see/do - there's never enough time to do it all in one trip!!

If I can make a suggestion, unless you have an affinity for Mamma Mia or ABBA music then I suggest Wicked over Mamma Mia... especially if you like the Wizard of Oz.

if u like candyyyyy, there's dylan's candy store. it's ralph lauren's daughter's store. it's supposedly huge and awesome. didn't have a chance to go.

here are some cool eateries:

pop burger (cute mini burgers)
john's pizza (the best pizza you'll ever haveeeeeeeeee ever, IMO)
f&b (interesting hot dog joint. the toppings are really unconventional for hot dogs. e.g. bacon, ranch, lettuce, etc.)
go to chinatown if u like chinese food (good n cheap) or if you want some bargain shopping (be careful of the fake shit though and the rip offs. be confident and start to walk away if they won't give u the price, 9 times out of 10, they'll tell u to come back and give u the deal [if the deal isn't too outrageously low for them])

go shoppppppppping!! hit up ALL the shopping districts. that's what i did and my luggage was packed to the max. i love the little shoe shops. they have awesome deals and amazing shoes!

I loooove Nyc...everything about it. I agree with all this. Last time I was there, I didn't get a chance to go to Gray's Papaya...!! I was mad!

But have FUN!!!

Oh, and if you're into skin/body products...Carol's Daughter isn't in Manhattan...you'll have to head up to Harlem or go to Brooklyn...but looove their stuff!!

Have fun in the city! I love it, especially Manhattan and the Bronx.

Try finding some cool independant stores.. I haven't been in the city in awhile since moving out of NY, but I'm sure you'll find all kinds of cool places.
