Nyx? N.y.c?

okay so I went out looking for NYX and found a huge selesction at my local beauty supply store.But i also noticed they had a line called N.Y.C. Is this line anygood?

I don't like NYC at all whatsoever. I bought an eyeshadow set for them just for fun since it was like 2 bucks, and it was horrible.

The only thing I like from N.Y.C. is their bronzer, other than that I've been disappointed.

I bought their transluscent powder before a play once because my MAC powder had been all used up, and it worked surprisingly well to set my stage makeup. It's all I've tried from their line, but considering the price it likely doesn't perform all that well.

I used their translucent powder because it's cheap and you get a shitton of it. And the wax from their brow stuff. That's it. Wet N Wild is in the same price range and much better quality. Funny how that works.

I bought a couple of the lipglosses in the tube, the clear mint one was nice, and chocolate fudge was nice and tastes good too!

I have bought a lipstick from NYC and it wasn't the best, so I haven't bought anything else from that line.

The only NYC products I don't mind are their nailpolishes.

Yup- all I buy are the nailpolishes and the false lashies. They are very sturdy, last through multiple wears. And they are cheaper than Ardell.

I use their black eyeliner pencil, and that's about it. I find that Wet N Wild is much much better (as far as eyeshadows.) I haven't used anything else but the nail polishes from either.

The "sunny" bronzer is VERY decent, and the .99 and 1.99 lipsticks are awesome, but the packaging is so bad, the caps always come off and you get lipstick all over inside your bag- so I do not buy the lipsticks, even tho they are great.

One thing I love from them is their thick lip pencil - called Jumbo Lipcolor Pencil in Innocent or Charmed. Those are awesome. Also, their waterproof pencil eyeliners in the shimmery shades are great.

If you aren't a price snob, good products can be found in every line, same as bad. I don't think everything that Mac for example or even Chanel makes is so hot, and I am open minded enough to give the lower end brands a shot. You can find some great buys! And if they suck, you are only out a few bucks at most! I once had a chanel mascara that was SO bad I threw it away - and boy that hurt!

The only time I really buy NYC is if I want to try out a look or color before committing to MAC or something of that nature, and usually only when it is BOGO. Though I do like the translucent powder and nail polish.....bbbuuuuuttttt that is about it.

I used to have a black pencil eyeliner from them, and it was pretty decent. Other than that, no. lol. You're probably better off buying other drug store brands. I love Rimmel and Annabelle.
