So I finally figured out how to use the jumbo pencils to suit my eyelids!

I use my base (Art Deco) then colour in the top of my finger with the pencil and dab dab dab! This makes me happy as I have 3 of the jumbo pencils and I wasn't impressed by the way I applied it the first time!

I also really like their slim eye liners (got my first one last month, great texture but from what I gather this can differ depending on the colours???), and their lip liners... ah, the list goes on!

Not that anyone has been following my return saga, but I did get notice today that all but $5.00 of my refund has been credited back to me. I am not sure why the additional $5 items was not credited...I sent an e-mail just this evening to customer service and hopefully will get a response (and the $5 I am owed credited to my account!).

Just a quick recap: I placed two large orders from nyxcosmetics.com at the of November (Over $300 worth) and wanted to return a few items that did not work for me (pursuant to the NYX cosmetics return policy - and the very reason I chose to order from them and not Cherry Culture or another online store). I was worried when customer service took awhile to respond to my e-mail about the policy and where to send the items to, and I posted here, hoping someone could help. Finally, I heard back from them and just today received notice of the refund for the returned items (except for $5, which I hope was an administrative oversight).

As someone new to NYX (and someone used to dealing with larger companies that have a liberal return policy (Sephora, MAC, QVC, Nine West, Macy's, etc.) I hope to be able to add NYX to my I-can-whole-heartedly-recommend-this-company-to-others-list. We're 90% of the way there....

I can say however, that even a month later, I am still reaching for my NYX lippies almost everyday and have used the e/s palettes more than many I own. Also, I only ordered 2 lip glosses, but these are my hands down favorite - - right next to my very fav. Dior glosses (which are like 5 times the price of NYX).

So....I am waiting to place another order with them, but hopefully I will soon. I would like to try some of the single e/s and pick up a few more Black Label Lipsticks.

Am I the only one who cannot stand the taste and smell of NYX round lipsticks and the glosses? The Diamond sparkle glosses don't have a bad taste or smell that I can recall, but as soon as i put the other two on my lips i had to immediately wipe it off.... gross

shame they are such a good deal

i second that. I just got my round lipsticks, louisiana and snow white. I do love the colors but I just ant take the scent. i hope they do something about it.

I don't mind the smell so much, actually I don't really smell anything. =P I have some of the round lippies and the mega shine lipgloss. My fav l/s would probably be circe and echo and for the l/g I'd go with natural and smokey look. I love nude lips. <3

I bought the CS EZ Press to press my nyx pigments too. When I first started pressing them I thought they turned out pretty good. But I found that it was still crumbly.. I don't think I put enough of the mixing medium so I'm gonna have to redo them and put some more and hopefully gets better.

So, I want to put some NYX round lipsticks in my next CherryCulture.com order; I have been using NYX products since high school and I luuurve them! The thing is...Cherry Culture doesn't have 2 of the colors I am absolutely DYING for, Orange Soda and Power, and they don't have any of the similar colors. D: I won't buy from Ms. Cuppycakes because I've heard too many horror stories, but other than her, CherryCulture is the best price online. Not to mention, I DO want to get other products besides the round lipsticks.

So...does anybody know if I can whine at CC to stock those two colors? LOL!

(Yes, I know I am on a no-buy. I plan on placing this order using birthday money in April.

I never noticed that the lippies had a scent. To me the strongest scent is in their lipglosses. Perhaps its just my weak sense of smell. I'm dying to try the Nyx Concealer in a jar.

I've just completed (in two sittings) my set of 24. Its a huge job but well worth it.
I used a homemade mix of 1 part glycerine, 3 parts water. The only colour I had trouble with was the black, it felt different while stirring, then didn't dry as well and ended up mooshing it when I pressed it. It don't look pretty but it'll do the job!

Absolutely loving how they turned out because there's no way messy little me was going to use them in their original packaging.

my favorite NYX lip gloss is Tea Rose Mega Shine LG. since I discovered it last spring I've purchased and totally used up two of them. I love how it looks on my lips, especially in combination with Power Round Lipstick, because the color is very similar - a shade of lavender, I would say.
Therefore, you can imagine my surprise when I ordered my third Tea Rose LG this month from Cherry Culture, and received, not only new packaging but also a completely different lip gloss! There is a huge difference in color, the new Tea Rose is a lot similar to Mauve Round LG and it has nothing to do with my old, perfect Tea Rose

Besides the difference in color, the 'new' Tea Rose has no sparkles, and my old one had them.

I'm not sure if it is allowed to post pictures here, so please tell me if I have to move them somewhere else, but anyways, here are the pics so that you can see this huge difference. On the left is my old, used up Tea Rose, and on the right is the new one.

Do you know if NYX has changed colors or textures of some other lip glosses or products also?

That's a bummer. I have to say that the "new" Tea Rose looks a lot more like the Tea Rose round lipstick though. Maybe that's why they changed it, so the two would match.

Kragey, there are a number of ebay sellers that have deals like "5 NYX round lipsticks for $[an amount comparable to the CC price]", so that could be an option for you.

What I learned about NYX Lipstick today!

So I'm really used to wearing MAC's lipstick(it's like the only brand I've purchased for lipstick for awhile now), and as most of you know the packaging is all solid, well you know how the NYX round lipsticks have that clear space at the bottom where you can see the color? Earlier I was like wait a minute, the actual lipstick doesn't even go down that far, why the heck would they waste lipstick like that lol? So I pulled the end until the little clear cap came off and it was full of solid gummy stuff that just looks like the lipstick in the top part!!!

lol I am so weird I know. Please tell me someone has done/wondered this before. lmao

And don't worry the cap popped right back on, my lipstick is okay

I haven't tried NYX yet. So I took advantage of the $1 sale going on and ordered some things that I've heard good things about. Hopefully I like everything.
