nyx ultra pearl mania pigments

How do you guys use these pigments? i notice they are very shimmery so I try not to pair it with shimmery shades or the colors just won't blend nicely. What do you pair the nyx pigments with?

mine are highly shimmery! I use mink as a cheek highlight color...walnut on its own (gorgeous! my fave)...and I layer them (lightly) over matte colors sometimes.

I advise that you get 10gm jars when u purchase these, because they are a pain to use from the tiny vials!

they're beautiful to use alone. a wash of any of the colors on the lid is gorgeous

To answer your question, I have about 8 pearl manias. I use them mostly with each other or with MAC's matte2's. It really depends on the look I'm going for. I wouldn't do a shimmery highlight with NYX pigments on the lid though. Usually I use Blanc Type as a highlight for shimmer looks

U can't press them with just alcohol because since it's so finely milled, it'll just loosen up after you dip your brush in them. I use CS EZ Press to press my NYX pigments. It has this kinda greasy consistency. Don't put too much or it'll never dry right. The EZ Press hasn't changed the texture or consistency of mine yet.

I don't use them much and that's mainly because of the crazy amount of shimmer.
The lighter colours work well as highlighters though

If you want to use them on your eyes I suggest using a matte or satin e/s in the crease - that way you create some depth to the eye
