So I'm sitting here trying not to look at my astrophysics assignment (I'm taking a break ok??). Anyone else have a class where the assignments just kill? I swear, sometimes my prof asks questions on material that I can't find anywhere in the notes or the readings. How the heck am I supposed to solve this? *makes angry noise* I know I'll pass, but I definitely won't get better than about 75%, and that's if he gives me pity marks for trying to derive a formula (Wien's Law from the Wien approximation of the Planck Function). At least I aced the question which is worth half the assignment. What's your upsetting class?

My "issues in classrooms" class, which is an education course is really difficult. I never get anything higher than a C or D+ on my written essays. Which sucks since I'm an english major for grades 6-12. However, I've always done well in all of my English Courses (A- A+, never anything lower than an A.)

So I wonder if she just hates my writing style or if I'm actually doing something wrong. On an average , I do about 10 mistakes on my whole paper (they are usually extra words I add to elaborate and explain everything in each sentence.) Those "extra words" are what cause me to get a C or D.

RAWR.

Always happends to me!!! And damn, every professor thinks hir'her subject is the most important one. French professor believes we study linguistics, law professors believe we study law etc... This studies are sooo tough on me. Plus I'm getting a job. Its so hard, I understand Meg

That is a very good strategy. Often I don't get a concept in my astrophysics class until I've read it in the text, made notes on the text, made notes on the online notes, and then heard the prof explain it. I need to hear it like 5 different ways before it makes sense. And I hear you on anatomy/physiology. I took high school biology (which in alberta is the equivalent of first year ecology/genetics/evolution/endocrine system). And although I loved the human body part of it, it does get crazy complicated, and I was only learning one system really.

I'm lucky though, my other classes are easy for me. I'm taking a second year psych course, western music history, and very very basic music theory. Compared to last year it's a breeze, so I can really focus on astro. And my concert winds ensemble, because playing makes me happy.

I swear that my English Composition class is slowly killing me. The whole course focuses on building up to the final paper. I sit at my computer for hours on end wracking my brain out to write what I think the professor wants. Every time I get my assignments back with her feedback, she doesn't seem to like something about it. I feel like I'm trying so hard and doing the best I can, but its never good enough for her! English is usually my best subject, but not with this class or this professor. It's so stressful!!!

I'm the same way. I say 80% of the time i'm completely lost in the class. I have to come back home and read the text, notes, and write it down to make sense of it all. I spend hours locked in my room studying for a test..and i don't give up untill i understand it. These type of courses aren't just memorizing things it's really understanding the concepts. Good luck in your class ! I'm hoping for a B, BUT worst comes to worst i will be happy with a C, because that's what i need in order to get into the nursing program, but i'm still hoping for that B...gotta keep studying !!

Never. I'm taking a bunch of fast-paced, advanced courses and I always find a way to complete them and get amazing marks on them. I think that's just because I'm a truly gifted and perfect student.

HA! I couldn't even type that with a straight face.

My English class is busting my balls because our teacher sucks! NO ONE in that class has an A. NO ONE!!! My Calc course is definitely not for the lazy slacker. You need to study and complete assignments or you will do disastrous on tests and get a horrible grade!
A lot of people are suffering in my Anatomy-Physiology course but I'm doing very well because I just find interest in it and I enjoy doing the work. I know! FREAKAZOID!
My French class is pretty serious too! The only class I feel relaxed in is my Econ class.

If you set aside time to just clear your mind and focus on the work without thinking about going on the computer or talking on the phone for just a few hours, you can overcome any stress that comes alonmg with loads of difficult homework. Procrastinating is easy but you always tend to regret it after you get to doing the work.
That's how I see it!

Yeah sat here trying to do Anatomy....And all I am doing is posting on here because I have far to much energy to kill. If you need help with Astrophysics Nut I can ask my brother who's doing it right now. Hes really scarily smart and it annoys me...But it can be useful!
