OH MY GOD!!! I love pigments!

First- I just bought my first full size jars of pigments (blondes gold, antique green, heritage rouge, and frost) and can I just say- HOLY LORD THESE THINGS ARE HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE!!!! I didnt think for a second that they'd be this big!! I cant get over it!! I have a small pigment from L'oreal HIP that I bought like--- 2 years ago.. and I thought it would be about the same size, maybe a little bigger.. but WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWW..

Second-- the color payoff in these is INTENSE.. I cant believe I had such a love affair with MAC WITHOUT having pigments! I WANT ALL OF THEM! ALL OF THEM I TELL YOU!!!!!!!!!!

Okay- totally off to play with them now.. I cant take it.. Im on friggin cloud 9. I feel like i just took drugs.. a MAC pill or something.

Just wanted to shaaaaaare!

yeah i had that re-action when i bought my first pigment back in 2004! it was teal and i still have pretty much all of it left even though i use it loads - amazing as an eyeliner!!! i have 7 pigments now and many samples and love them all... plan on getting about 4 more full sized ones at the end of the month when i'm in the usa on my hols!!

but yeah you can use em for differnt things too like blush, cheek highlighters, lip gloss, body shimmer, eyeliner, shadow and i hear some people put it in tehir hair!!!

i was thinking about using heritage rouge in my lipgloss-- it looks like it would be SUCH a pretty lip color!!!

Pigments really are nice!
I was crazy about them for awhile, but I find I don't hardly use mine anymore. I think it's because they're loose and just a lot messier than pressed shadows. Since I mostly use pigments for eyeshadow, I find I much prefer pressed.
However, they are really pigmented and there are some colors you can't find in the pressed line.
I still love them, but I'm just a lot more selective which ones I buy instead of buying them all, LOL.

Pigments are my favorite mac product by far

Aren't they fab ") my favorite tip i got from specktra was use delft painpot under old gold pigment because it makes a bright green!

And my favorite tip for pigments from me is to use fix + spray on the brush and create eyeliners with them

wait until you mix some pigments together to create your own colors. then u will find out you can't live without pigments.

pigments are amazing! i didn't really discover them untill last year, but I am SO glad that i did -- they are great for all kinds of looks. and i agree with genduk26 -- mixing pigments to make new colors is another level or pigment love alltogether!!

You can use pigments as blush as well, i love melon pigment over some of my blushes. I love them to death, and the good thing about them is that a full jar will last you a lifetime

I am a new makeup artist are some pigments the same as eyeshadows in terms of color. And would you recommend I get more pigments than regular shadows for my kit or both

^^Id personally say both.. .the finishes are so completely different for all of them- and all the e/s and pigment colors are so unique!!!

You can either press them on top of a coat of nail polish or mix it in with clear nail polish .

I agree that pigments are awesome !
It's awesome how you can press them and make them into eyeshadow form too !
Now I want more pigments too !
