oily skin!!

my foundation is gone two hours after I'm out. I have elbeen using mac oil control lotion but it seems to me that it is not working. I am considering buying face prep and prime. can anyone tell me what to do and what I can use? Is prep and prime more useful than oil control lotion? what is the matte lotion recommended for?

what foundation are you wearing? I live in humid florida and i just use blotpapers with blot powder pressed....if it gets really super humid/hot i mis a little milk of magnesia with my toner and apply it before sunblock or foundation

Is it just after you apply your lotion? Are you letting your moisturiser get to work before your putting your make up on? If its happening anyway it might be that your not using the correct wash or moisturiser for your skin. It found me forever to find what suits my skin perfectly. Before I used to have to use matte gels, blot papers,millions of different powders... actually, I'll stop there because I tried so much!

I dont know too much about the prep and prime, but for after use I normally use what dmenchi does too, I use blot powders to absorb any oils then use the mac blot powder. I find ti more effective then the lotions i have tried.

Thanks for your responses. I use oil control lotion as moisturizer. I use studio fx foundation by mac. hmmm no I usually give 5 minutes in between how long should I wait?

Mix your moisturizer with a few drops of Milk of Magnesia. Trust me on this one. Also, do a search and you will find other threads about this.

I use OIL of OLAY moisturizer then MILK of MAGNESIA (Phillips) after. I used to use CLINIQUE Pore Minimizer but I realized how essential moisturizer was for oily skin. Anyway, ya, M.O.M. is grrreat!
