Okay people, FAFI EYE QUAD 1...

Okay everyone,

I was wondering is FAFI EYE QUAD 1 worth the money. or can i just purchase pink venus and another blueish gray eye shadows , and use my favorite highlighters instead?

I love quads and I really didn't have any similar colors, so I caved and bought it off here.

I already had Vanilla, but it is a staple for me, so that was worth it.

Hey is a gorgeous color (my favorite of the whole quad), but I feel like it could be made by layering some other colors.

Pink Venus....well...pink shadows just don't like me, and mine came off pretty sheer and had to really be layered to get any payoff, which proceeded to fade rather quickly. It kind of irritated me, but it the same with any pink shadow on me.

Howzat was really nice and a lovely color. For me, this was close with Hey as to which is my favorite.

I think that if you don't have any of these colors, it might be worth it to buy the quad. But if you aren't sure or already have a lot of these colors, I would probably pass on it. HTHS!

^^^^AGREED! I originally bought Fafi Eyes 2 because the bold colors appealed to me. However, it's a hard quad to wear. Fafi Eyes 1 is sooo wearable and I have seen so many cute looks done with it. I already owned Pink Venus so I looked at the other colors because I thought I could dupe them all and I couldn't. I am glad I bought it.

i had actually been holding out on pink venus because it's a lustre (gasp!) but it is not difficult to work with over a paint pot or other creamy base in my opinion, and vanilla (not sure why i didn't have that one hahaha)

i got fafi 1 and 2 as gifts for my birthday and i am happy i have both, so i say go for fafi 1.

1. you are probably going to buy the colors eventually, why not get them a little cheaper in a cute palette?

2. i agree with the above posters on how cute hey and howzat are. i own practically every gold and every blue from mac and these two really are unique!

I was wanting to get Fafi 1 but did some swatching in store.

Hey on my NW15 skin could be duped by Grain (in my eyes) but others say All That Glitters is really good.

Plus with all the not-so-great reviews about pink venus, I'm thinking of just making my own quad with a highlighter, all that glitters (since I already own it), a pink shadow (I love Da Bling or Neutral Pink) and maybe a greyish colour like Knight Divine.

Then I have shadows I know I can work with that give me something that I like much better! Then putting it in a clear topped quad from mac also avoids that dreaded sticker. and makes me use what i already have.

I agree that if you don't have these colors- it's a great quad. I got it because I wear Vanilla everyday, and I love pinks and greys. I think it's a nice quad overall- just depends on what colors you are looking for and what you normally wear.

I have 2 of the 3 colors, but I just bought it because I am so obsessed with quads! THey seriously save a lot of space! Also, for me its easier to have shadows in quads because the colors are easier to put on, you know like the order and stuff. Also, just the fact that the case is so darn cute make it worth it

I got it because, of the 4 shadows, I only had Pink Venus. I really like it. I had been on a neutral kick and figured it would be perfect and it is.

I bought it because I had none of the shadows and I must say I did a pretty nice look with it and got compliments on it. I know a lot of people do not like the lustres but pink venus looked sooo nice with howzat creating a smokey eye.
