Olive-Yellow-Khaki Undertones

Hello all,

I just wanted to share my exciting new discovery with all you ladies.....

I also have an Olive-Yellow Undertone and it is super difficult to find a foundation match for me. The only foundation that is a perfect match for me is the MUFE HD 153 shade because it has olive tones in it, the only problem is that after a few hours my T-Zone gets oily due to the combination skin.

So I was at Sephora the other day looking to try the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation, suppose to be long lasting with a matte finish, the closest match to me was the Honey Bronze but again it was slightly orange when I applied the swatch, I still got a sample of it.

Next I went to the MUFE booth and I told the Specialist what my problem was with matching foundations, she advised me of something called the "CHROMATIC MIX" Make-up Liquid Pigments (link down below). This stuff just blew my mind, they actually have a yellow olive pigment that you can mix with your foundation so that it matches you're undertone...Freakin BRILLIANT. She mixed a tiny bit of this pigment with my Estee Lauder Double Wear and swatched it on my jaw line, this melted right in...the shade was an exact copy of my MUFE 153.

She did the same thing with my Kat Von D Lock It Tattoo Foundation in Medium 62 shade and it matched perfectly. Kat Von D turned me orange and the shade was a bit too dark, but the yellow green of the pigment made it lighter and gave it just the right amount of olive to match me.

I am guessing that this can be used with drug store products as well, since the shade range and undertones sometimes don't match. I can't wait to try this pigment on the Loreal True Match :)

These Chromatic Mixes come in oil based and water based formulations, so make sure you find out if your foundation is oil or water based before you try these pigments. They come in many shades to create desired tone or depth of shade: White, Blue, Yellow (I think its more yellow-greenish), Red, Black, Brown. The website below best describes what each colour is used for.
