what do you do?

here's my little back story. i was dawdling around the house, applying makeup, watching youtube, reading posts here... it was all going well until i slipped a little with the black cream liner. that's what i get for not paying full attention when applying eyeliner.

options? take it off and start over or just go with it. since i really didn't want to start over i just went with it. now i have wings at the top and bottom lids, added some Black Tied to darken everything up...

didn't turn out too badly, but wow, it really didn't go with the outfit i had on (punky green plaid pants and black tank). so i changed into a more goth look.

so i'm looking a little, ermmm... creative... for going out to the grocery store and the park with the kids.

what do you do in situations like these? start over or just go with it and wear slightly over the top makeup on a regular day?

Eh, I just go with it...mostly because I don't really care what anyone thinks. Besides, I figure if the only thing someone else (who doesn't even know me) has to talk about is my wild makeup, then that's pretty sad for them.

Usually when I mess up with my eyeliner I take it off and apply it again. But I don't wear eyeshadow so when I take off the eyeliner it not that big of deal to reapply it again. If I did have eyeshadow on and I wasn't in a hurry and I messed up I would remove everything and apply everything again. But if I was in a hurry maybe I would just go with it but it really depends on what it looks like.

If a look gets more dramatic than I'd like, I never take it off. I always either mute the color (if it's too bright), or if my liner extended further out than I'd like, I just take a wipe and wipe off that portion.

I start over. If its worth doing, its worth doing right. Too dramatic makeup can be innappropriate in some settings.

I usually just try to go with it. Of course I will try to fix it with the best of my ability but I don't worry about it to much. :]
