Padmita Dupe (I love her looks!)

Well, I must admita that Padmita, I love your looks the most. Not only is your beauty stunning, but somehow your makeup still seems to look not overdone (just before I took these pics, I tried eyemakeup in NYX turquoise and some Milani Sheer sand, and I freaked! had to wash it all off and start over. too much). Even though I love makeup, I can't deal with the dark colors, and Padmita's are always so light and bright. Just how I'd want to look. So although I know I don't have her stunning features (mine are fine in their own right!

) this is my first attempt at duplicating her look. You may not even be able to tell that I tightlined my waterline with black, but probably because the product was poor quality. I tried to get it to show up more, I promise! Basically any tips (esp. from padmita!) on how to get this look closer to hers would be much appreciated. I know my colors aren't as striking as hers (and not as multilayered as I only used one!) I can't figure out if it's the camera or my application (bathroom lighting is weird and i don't have a lighted mirror!) anyway, on with the pics

Physician's formula Sand Shadestick as lid base

MAC:
Soba e/s to fill in eyebrows
Vanilla pig as wash on entire lid, upper and lower (tried to define inner corners. ??)

! As for tips: You could use a paint or e/s to prime your lid and even out the color, something in a color close to your skintone, because the area next to your inner corners is a little darker like mine, and I always put concealer or Bare Canvas on it. After putting my lid color on my whole lid, I highlight my inner corners with a light, shimmery shade like MAC Lily White, applied with a small brush to open the eyes up. The outer V is a bit tricky at first but it's worth taking the time to practise - just use a brush that's not too big and work carefully. When I use bright shades, I always do a lot of blending - it makes the lines less defined, but it really tones down the colors, or you can layer the brighter colors with a light white or beige one to make them look more pastel.
I hope any of this helps

! And I think the lipcolor you chose is just gorgeous!!

Very pretty - like everyone else said the lips look great! In addition to what Padmita mentioned I'd rec. some more mascara...I don't if you have any on or applied with a light hand...but I'd up the volume with another coat! Nice job!

Wow! Thanks everyone for the thoughtful and supportive replies. I do use mascara, and I do put two coats on!

I feel like if I put more on it clumps up. I have tried an eyelash curler, but it pinches my eyes, and when it doesn't, it just doesn't do anything. so I'm still trying to find one that works for me. I agree, I would love if my lashes looked more batty!

And Thanks Padmita for responding!

I do use a shadestick as my base, beige-ing. It's listed as a physicians formula thing, but they are identical (i have both). Bare canvas is a good idea too. I lost mine! and because i'm in such a humid climate i've been wanting to get UD primer potion, thinking that might help with the creasing more...not sure if it helps with evening out color. I can see that i should focus more on those dark areas you mentioned. and lily white would be a good addition. I will try again, and report back!!!

Thanks everyone!
