Paints vs. Shadesticks..........

And so the debate goes on! I usually use shadesticks with Beigeing and Pink Coture being the ones I used most often, infact almost everyday. Sometimes I get little bumps on my eyelids from them though, so I have to stop using them for about a week until the go away. This past week I've re-discovered my paints. I've been using Stilife, Shimma and Artjam. I also have chartruse and the light purple paint, but I can't remember the name of it. It seems as though my shadows are going on and appear much smoother than I remember them going on with the shadesticks. I still like the shadesticks, but the paints are slowly winning me over. I think they give a smoother more professional look. Does anyone else think so, or is it just me? I think I'm going to have to pick myself up the Cotton Candy paint. Does anyone know if they make a paint similar to the color of Silver Bleu shadestick?

I thought blueboy was a really bright blue. I saw it at the CCO when I was there in the summer, ut I didn't think of getting it becuase it looked so bright.

Either Pixel or Mauvism (which I'm assuming is the purple you already have?) would probably be the best substitutes for Silverbleu...there's no paint that's exactly like it, but I think Pixel (silver) would serve the same purposes as Silverbleu does as a base.

I love my paints- the shadesticks just don't let my lids 'breathe' and I cant seem to blend the e/s at all.

blueboy is fairly blue, although I wouldn't go as far as to say bright. It's a particularly sheer paint as well, like canton candy is.

It depends, if you are seeking something similar to silverbleu for the blue or for the silver aspect really.

Interesting, Blueboy is pretty damn electric blue on my lids, as described by others who have seen me wearing it.

I owned one shadestick - Royal Hue and while I loved the colour, its texture was a bit too inconsistent when applied on my eyelid. I was hoping to use it as an eyeshadow, rather than a base. I was a bit disappointed and hence swapped it away. Too bad, as I really wanted Sharkskin s/s. So sticking to the paints it is for me.

paints= messy. however shadesticks i find aren't too good with lasting on my eyes- like the colour deosn't sit right and long on my lids... Paints i find are great to use cos they don't crease buy it does get kinda messy if you don't know what to do with them.
