pan glue/adhesive

i dont know if this has been brought up before and i tried doing a search for it, but i guess i wasnt thorough enough. but anyways, what sort of adhesive/glue does MAC use on the bottom of their metal eyeshadow pans? i was lifting up a metal pan on an eyeshadow that was broken and it looks a little like rubber cement. i am really curious and would greatly appreciate it if someone, anyone had the answer to my pondering question.

I actually depotted my Chanel e/s. It's very easy, but you have to be very gentle. You just need a sharp instrument and no heat is involved. I have a nice big compact in which I store all of them in now. It's so nice not having those bulky black compacts anymore. Anyway, they too have that rubber cement on the bottom. By the way, they are magnetic. I love it.

I have no clue what type of clue is used with MAC.
