pasty face

Sorry if this kind of topic been made a million times before.

I have pale skin, as the title suggests xD
I've found that the Benefit platstix shade "Jax" is really the only shade I can get that matches my skin tone. While I love it to pieces I can't afford to shell out £25 for foundation, especially when I have no income and have recently been made redundant.

I've tried various brands you get in the supermarket and can't find a shade thats really pale enough for me.

I don't know if anyone has any way of comparing "jax" with the palest shade of Mac foundation or the like, but does anyone have any info as to where I could get a cheap pale foundation, other than resorting to buying whiteface and looking a bit daft?

Thank you very much.

you can find raves and rants for super-pale foundations in the porcelain beauties threads - they're at the top section of the cosmetics discussion subforum. These threads are all about super pale skin.

IMO, Foundation is worth spending a bit of money on, all your make up is going to look bad if your foundations is crappy, so insead of buying another e/s I'd add that amount of money to my "foundation budget" and get something decent.
good foundation is the key to looking fab and glamourous everyday - the greatest lashes and hottest lipstick wont help if your foundation color is off or not blended well.

Good luck!

I'm not sure what shade Jax is in MAC shades but i think maybe about a 'NC/NW15' which is to dark for me, one of the foundations that might match your shade is you is Revlon color stay in Ivory, it has great coverage and i prefer it more so then MAC

i wish it just was light enough for me.
Personally i don't think all your make up is going to look bad if you wear a cheaper foundation, low end foundations are just as good IMO

It was not my intention to say "if its cheap, it'll look bad", what I wanted to say was that if you find your holy grail and it's the perfect match for you, it is worth concidering spending a bit of money on since it really IS the base for all your other make up and your foundation is kind of like your canvas. Weather it costs 4.99$ or 49.90$, if it's your HG or the only one that looks good on you, buy it
