pigment sample recommendation

Hey guys,

I'm placing an order for 10 pigment samples and wanted to get your opinion on whish ones to get. I'm a pigment newbie and only have Vanilla (which I love), but I really want to try more pigments in samples before deciding on full size.

Any of the taupe-y brown ones are really nice, like Mauvement, Subtle, Coco. Mauvement is the only one that is still available, though. You might also like Naked, Jardin Aires, or Melon. I think the fun ones to get are the brights, since never in a million years would you go through an entire jar of a bright one. I also like to get samples of the Pro pigments, since I live nowhere near a Pro store.

those are my favorites. i think most of them are not LE.

try mac_mocha in the sales thread - she has loads of samples for sale

for a 10 piggie sample order I would go with these -

1) Coco/Subtle/Sunnydaze/Mauvement - these are all taupes and a universal colour
2) Golden Olive
3) Sweet Sienna - dont go past this!
4) Your Ladyship - dont miss this either, you WILL regret it

5) Melon
6) Gold Stroke/Coco Beach/Chocolate Brown - the first 2 are LE, but the last one is just as nice if you cant get either of them.
7) Smoke Signal/Maroon - again if you can get them these are beautiful
8) Jardin Aires/Dazzleray
9) Pink Opal
10) Rose

well you can get them from a MAC freestanding store. idk about MAC counters though? (with your MAC purchase, just ask one of the MAC girls NICLEY to get a sample of whatever color pigment you would like) the amount you get depends on how nice they are. some of them fill it to the top! OR do what i do which is go to thebodyneeds.com

they sell mac pigments for 1.59$ each! (NOT THE WHOLE JAR but 1/4 of a teaspoon which is good for about 15-25 uses) GOOD DEAL. they come in a 5 gram screw top jar and they are 100% authentic mac pigments. i have purchased about 10 samples from them and they ship really fast and give a great amount of pigment. its a good way to try some pigments out.

so go check out the colors they have right now. they restock every couple of days.

My must have colors are: chocolate brown, tan, your ladyship, sweet sienna, vanilla, forest green, apricot pink (great over blush too), coco beach, subtle, deep purple, deep blue green and copperized. This is only some of my many pigments. I have around 150 colors listed here in the sales bin.
